I post every week in the NASCAR race thread (1st post) which session is shown on TV and in which channel. There is also info on internet live streams. :)

I thought it was BDR in the shit, considering they were rumored to go to either Blaney or a 2nd BDR team.

It's been highly documented that JB-F1 has no idea what he's talking about, so just ignore him.

reverse grid for the second

I agree. Do something like the V8 supercars have either endurance races or two sprint races in a weekend. That would kick ass.

Yea, it's officially rained out.

I was wondering if Yeley has any plans of coming back?

This could be good or bad. At least they had some practice.

When you put it that way, the USAC plan is probably his only hope. :D

Yeah, don't listen to me on NASCAR stuff

Might have missed something but last I heard NAPA and/or Aaron's weren't confirmed and it looked like they would struggle to get a major sponsorship and go down a car or 2

The US Army thing I posted in the same post was separate. I should've made that more clear. BDR were hoping for them to replace Cat on the 22

Is Burger King confirmed on the 39 now?

You know, it's an idea I've had for a while. No endurance races like in V8 Supercars, but you can have two cup races on two days for places like Pocono where 500 miles is just too long for one day.

How is the overall winner of the event decided in such cases? Whoever scores the highest points from the two races combined?

You could do a race at 11 AM, then another at 4 at a track with lights.

Toss a Truck or Busch race between them. Or murder Jerry Punch.

Either works and can kill some solid time.

Fixed.

From Jayski:

F1 McLaren boss to head to NASCAR: Steve Hallam, McLaren's head of race operations, is to leave the team at the end of this year to move to NASCAR. Hallam joined McLaren in 1990 after almost a decade at Lotus, where he race engineered for Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna. Having helped engineer Mika Hakkinen to world title success with McLaren in 1998 and 1999, Hallam moved to a more senior role within the team's race engineering department. McLaren F1 CEO Martin Whitmarsh has paid tribute to Hallam's contribution to the team. "Since joining us in 1990, Steve has become a senior member of our track operations team, doing a fantastic job," explained Whitmarsh. "He informed us of his decision to leave some time ago but, since he is totally professional, it goes without saying that we are entirely comfortable with his continuing his work with us until the end of the season. Next year we will all miss him greatly, but we nonetheless wish him all the very best in his new adventure." Hallam is to take up a senior position in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.(Autosport)(9-13-2008)

Uh, McLaren boss is Ron Dennis...

It's you.

You're a tard.

He does kind of look like a certain other teenage driver from the late 1990s, though.
