Well the low downforce package has been tested in a few different iterations. The one they're running this weekend was tested by the 48 team at Darlington last month I think.

And I think a version of this super high downforce package was tested at Michigan within the last couple years.

IIRC it was tested at the same time the super low downforce was too (last year?), the general concenous was crap, single file after 2 laps, I think it was Denny Hamlin that tweeted something to the effect of 'total waste of day till we went to the low down force option, then it was fantastic'.

It won't work at Michigan, anybody who has an understanding of aerodynamics will tell you that, if anything at Michigan they should lop off the splitter, skirts and spoiler, give them super sticky tyres and tell em to deal with it.

If I didn't know better, I'd say there was a trojan inside NASCAR who is deliberately putting this Michigan package together just to prove how much of a failure it'll be.

I'm not even sure this weeks package will be a success either, since the side skirts are remaining, there was a reason why F1 said no to ground effects and went with DRS and it had nowt to do with safety.

Heard some rumors about this last night but it's official now, Justin Boston and Kyle Busch Motorsports has parted ways. Christopher Bell will race the #54 truck for KBM tomorrow at Kentucky.

Good. Boston was complaining about his lack of results, and blamed it on the team it seemed. No, you just were a spoiled rich kid with sponsorship money...Nice to know KBM hasn't got time for no talents.

Glad to see Kyle is also not gonna be in the truck either.

Also I found the most batshit driver announcement of 2015 so far

Derek White will be racing the #34 Front Row Motorsports car at New Hampshire.

I'm assuming either one of his companies (He owns O.C.R Gaz Bar and Headrush) or Braille Batteries are sponsoring him.

To be fair, Kyle isn't exactly desperate to have rich kids bringing sponsor money to his team. I'm sure it wasn't a hard decision.

The 17th round of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup championship now holds the record for the most penalties issues during a race, this season. With 65 total penalties, the 400-miler at Daytona surpasses Martinsville, where 43 penalties were issued during that 500-miler.

Man, that was a long race at Martinsville.

So misleading even the article itself says so...

However, that number is a bit misleading. 35 of the penalties, according to NASCAR, were due to teams pitting before pit road was open. This can be attributed to the many damaged race cars that needed to enter the pit lane for repairs as soon as possible.

1000 laps would turn that surface to gravel.

But I wonder if at Marty they didn't do that as well, the back end cars have to pit sometimes 2 times on a caution just to change all tyres and not loose a lap. The article urges a response in what race had the most pit-stop infractions penalties and how much.

Oh man - that was actually kinda funny! I would have loved to see them do the footrace at the end of the video, but considering Kyle's injuries, I guess that wasn't an option.

Jason White and Kirk Shelmerdine both made it to day 3 of the World Series of Poker. Shelmerdine started day 3 with more chips than Jason White. The final 1,000 make the money with the winner getting $7.5 million. There are about 1,300 players left out of the 6,420 players that started.
