As much as I don't like to see him race in the lower series, what's stopping him?

Yeah.. he loves racing, so he wants to race, and I'm sure Monster is paying a decent amount of money to have him in the car.

I knew it was inevitable he would run an Xfinity race this year, i just finished he would've waited another month or so before coming back so soon.

I figured his, "Triumphant Return" would've been to the scene of the crime at Daytona.

If dude fucks his shit up in the Xfinity car again I'll have no sympathy. Is Monster owned my Mars or something? Cause if I was his Cup sponsors I'd be more than a little bit concerned.

I agree, nothing is stopping him but you'd think JGR would like him to focus on the Cup program with trying to get into the top 30 and win a race.

Track specific aero packages? Interesting concept.

Pretty proud my downforce usa Co host Adam managed to get that exclusive out of him
(Unless the vp has gone back to the us and got a slap for saying such stupid things they had no intention of doing or he was just trolling us  )

Also it makes a hell of a lot more sense than taking high downforce everywhere. Places like darlington and martinsville are going to require a hell of a lot of difference requirements to mighigan and Texas etc

Will be interesting as to when they test them though.
Since he says it might even be this season would they consider letting those not in the chase run a different aero package to test things for 2016?

They had the Chase when they were bringing in the CoT. The best adapt. If they test them this year, then everyone gets the package. The teams will figure it out and the cream will still rise to the top.

Sounds like there will be changes to the NXS car in 2017 too.

They will resemble the G6 cars a bit more, but will retain Pony car features, plus they'll have fake doors.

The current gen5 style NXS cars looks like absolute garbage so I welcome this change. Slapping a mustang logo on the front of a brick of shit doesn't do much for me.

The Challenger was the only one that somewhat resembled the actual street car.

Part of the problem today is cars are so aero dependent they don't have a hope in hell of passing when they're behind another car. Make them more aero dependent, what a brilliant idea!

Huh... driver's council getting NASCAR a little worried, perhaps? Doubt it, but this is interesting.
