No way his leg and foot are 100% knew he'd come back as soon as medically possible...interested to see how aggressive he will be and if he will continue to drive the 54 as well....I'm predicting a lot of bad decisions.

I'm no doctor, but I'm sure another injury to that leg in the first few weeks will be bad, bad, bad. Hopefully, all goes well.

Yeah I agree. I think it's stupid to be jumping back in the car at this point. And as far as the 54, I doubt Kyle runs it this year. Maybe 1 or 2 at the end but the way they set that driver line up, I assume they will have Kyle focusing on the 18.

Most of the tracks aren't really fast tracks though. My concern is if he could last 600 miles or take on the G-forces at Dovers banking.

Wishful thinking on your part. :whistling:

Kyle will make the top 30 and win a race, mark my words. I hope he does win the championship, just because he's the most raw talent driver never to have won a Cup championship. He's overdue.

I'll be at Toledo this weekend. The entry list for the ARCA cars is up to 30, hopefully it will be a decent show. The ARCA Trucks are running up there Saturday. I no longer work for them but I get the feeling they're going to ask me to take pics for them again for this race, and I'm not gonna do it. They have 16 trucks on their entry list, which is ok I guess, but the two guys who ran for the title last year (Mansfield and Jackson) are not on the entry list along with the #3 truck who ran pretty well the last couple of years. The #54 truck team is now sponsoring the series pole award and named it after their dog. Strange.

The ARCA Truck Series is such a trainwreck. I'm kind of surprised they still exist to be honest.

I wish he would, but I doubt it's gonna happen for two reasons

1.) Toyota's have been royally bad. I mean look at last year, their only wins were a crapshoot at Dega, and Kyle's gifted victory at Cali where Goodyear pretty much gave it to Kyle. Plus look at the 1.5 mile tracks during the chase. Kyle couldn't do jack all against the SHR or Penske or Hendrick cars and it wasn't for lack of trying either.
2.) Tony hasn't recovered fully from his Leg injury two years ago, so it could very well happen to Kyle

Tell me about it. It makes NASCAR's Truck Series look fantastic. I meant to post this in the race thread for this weekend. They have ten races planned this year, it'll be interesting to see how many get canceled. They had 12 last year and canceled four of those. Two were because the track promoter didn't want to pay up, and the other two were because the track was closed and the owner was sick. I'm surprised there's a few more trucks entered this year, as winning a ATS race still pays less than winning a late model race at most tracks.

I left after last year since I was tired of all the traveling, not getting paid for the banquet and walking out to the infield at Lake County several times during qualifying last October only to have it rain on me and my camera gear. I also had to carry the pole award trophy, checkered flag for heat races, sponsor sign and dice for the field invert. The PR guy they hired didn't help carry a damned thing and ignored me when I asked him to help that time. He spent most of his time on his phone tweeting/posting "updates". They think he's great though, judging from all the shit they said about him at the banquet. When I mention traveling I should say I drove from Bardstown to Flat Rock,MI (near Detroit) and back in a one-day trip, and Toledo as well, in another one day trip, with no sleep after an eight hour shift at my regular job. 700 miles and 12 hours of driving for a half hour race/25 mile race sounds pretty stupid. I could've done a hotel but didn't want to spend the money, they paid me $75 a race and I could've gotten my hotel covered but the $75 covered gas and a rental car most of the time. I sound kinda bitter about things but I'm not since I'm no longer doing it.

TL;DR - I learned I didn't like taking pictures for a racing series. Especially one that's a clusterfuck when it comes to being organized.

Taking pictures for an actual, real, professional series might not be so bad. ATS on the other hand... it's like inmates running the asylum.

I dunno, the Chase waiver makes sense to me.. a top 30 waiver would've been too much though.

Didn't see it mentioned here, but did anyone watch the KNPSW race from Tucson last week? That race was actually very good, I thought.

DraftKings has signed an agreement to partner with NASCAR for fantasy games with NASCAR now....

Normally, this would excite me, but pick em's don't go too well for me here, so why would I succeed in DraftKings? :p
