Robbie Allison, the son of the late Davey Allison won the Super Limited Late Model Feature in Anderson, SC last weekend. That was his first race in one of those cars.

Yep. He wrecked tonight. Not his own fault really.

Racing for 2nd, he got spun out (rather intentionally) and restarted at the tail end. The leader of the line he was in didn't go and they stacked up big time and he had nowhere to go. Busted the radiator.

First incident at around 1:30 here. Allison get's turned by Shaun Mize in the 26.

Then, just as he gets caught back up, the outside line doesn't go.

Did they split the Legends up? Pro/Masters and Semi-Pro/Young Lions?

Also, that Lessard kid is a force to be reckoned with in Super Late Models, really impressed with the kid. (CARS Tour Highlights)

Yep yep. They were 30 laps apiece. SP/YL paid $300. Pro/Masters paid $500. They were both fairly clean.

I believe they normally split them up at Anderson if it's a National Qualifier, but have the weekly shows as combined. Only track in the area that splits them up normally now is Charlotte, as Concord only has 2 features now (Combined & a separate Young Lions feature).

usually I like racing in a combined feature as it's usually cleaner on the bigger tracks like Orange County.

Update on the Bowman Gray scoring fiasco, John Smith declared the official winner of the Hayes Jewelers 200 following a scoring issue that put Brandon Ward on the lead lap (was supposed to get lucky dog during the caution, but hand scorers had him on the lead lap already by mistake)

shocked to hear BGS doesn't use transponders for their lead divisions. I knew they didn't run them for the Legends races

Dominion Raceway looks unbelievably fun. Even more so when it widens out, it's going to put on some great races.

Does anything really shock anyone when hearing it comes from that shithole?

My buddy is going to the WoO show this Sunday at Weedsport. He drove by two nights ago and they were testing the lights. Says it's the best lighting he's ever seen.

SDW will not be at CNYRP because CNYRP will never be built. It's a sham and a fleecing of NY tax payers. It always was. Word around the campfire is that the construction crews (or really, the dirt removal crews since all the excavation from CNYRP has been used as fill for the amphatheatre that is being built to replace the grandstands at the fairgrounds) walked off the job since they haven't been paid.

Current plan that I know of is to go ahead with the backup of covering Oswego with dirt and running it there.

I do not believe there will be a SDW for 2016 anywhere.

Not big enough. It's been discussed and that's what I thought too but there isn't enough room for the racecars/RV's/fans and the stands aren't anywhere near big enough.

The Wheels isn't as big as you think (or as big as I thought for that matter.)

Realistically, you need something the size of the fairgrounds. More importantly, you need the space the fairgrounds offered. Knoxville, Eldora, Boone, Williams Grove all host races that are HUGE with massive car counts and fans but they have acres and acres of room for the racecars and fans. No tracks in NY have that sort of space around them or the facilities to support a crowd of 15K.

Oswego is the closest thing because of the kind of crowd the Classic used to bring. But the facilities currently cannot support it and if they do have it there I will not be going for the week, just Sunday. It's a colossal mistake for them to hold it there.

I'd rather SDW just die with the mile.

I think it will just turn into a Indiana Sprint Week style event with a 4 to 6 race series at various tracks in NY with the SDW name being changed until the 10 year contract with the NY Tourism board runs out

Eldora most likely has taken the claim of being the big race this year with the NASCAR eyes already too. Doubt it sticks around for long tho

It didn't stick around when they did it before so I doubt it will now.

Eastern States 200 is going to be the biggest race weekend of the NE Dirt Modified year.

Actually, no, the World Finals with all 3 of the tour series is now the big deal.
