Derrike Cope's the real world equilateral of Peaked in High School Rob Lowe from the DirecTV commercials.

Just go away, you hasbeen neverwas. He only won the 500 because Sr. blew a tire, and Buddy Parrott was his crew chief and had a hell of a setup for Dover too. (The King's 199th win was at Dover too and Buddy was his CC.)

Except Cope is absolutely correct and right to be pissed. And NASCAR needs more guys like Cope with the passion for the sport to try and run on a shoestring budget with small sponsors.

Its not fair on the teams that spend heaps of money preparing their cars, only to wreck before the race, just trying to determine their pit stall.

As per The Orange Cone Twitter account (and further validated by Jim Utter posting the same thing AFTER Cone did), David Ragan will more than likely be in the 18 Cup car this weekend.

Huh...

That's way too random. Ragan is under contract don't think you can break it just cause a top team calls you. Sponsors don't like Erik Jones? He's way young but I think could do a better job than Ragan.

Yep, sounds random as hell, and very strange since Ragan would be under contract with Front Row... stranger things have happened though, like an inanimate object with a Twitter account supposedly run by a former TBK member, tweeting this information cryptically before anyone else, sending Jim Utter into a descent into madness.

Seriously, check out Utter's feed.

Very random, although I personally think Ragan has done a very good job at FRM.

Definitely sounding official that they at least are talking to him, that is really surprising. Apparently they are concerned if Erik doesn't preform well in the 18 it could affect him later in his career. I can see that, he's got tons of talent, but probably not ready for Cup. What about David Reutimann?? Oh yea he's already a forgotten name in the garage area.

JPM's name came up too, and that would be interesting.

I'd shit my pants if it turned out to be Bobby Labonte though. I think my drawers are safe, though.

I'd loose it if they brought back Bobby Labonte to the 18. No way it'll happen though. I mean that just sounds like too much red tape for Front Row to go through, loosing their "top" driver to scramble for a new driver once the season already has started...highly doubtful, but I'm sure money will talk.

If this actually happens, JGR 2014 will look a lot like RFR 2011 (minus the Bug-Eyed Dummy).

Sure does, especially on the Xfinity side with Elliott and Bubba.

Heard a good point Chocolate Myers brought up, maybe Jones to the 54 in Xfinity since Kyle was slated to run a shit load and Ragan to the 18 in Cup.

Definitely gonna put Erik in the 54 for those 26 scheduled races Kyle was gonna run. He can handle that just fine. So if Ragan to the 18 which 2nd tier driver will accept the ride in the 34??

Eh, That'd be a waste...he hasn't been behind the wheel since he stuffed it in Michigan practice right? Maybe Corey Lajoie?
