Not sure if this race deserves a final wreck with the winner flipping over the line, or a pathetic, debris caution final lap caution

Both seem apt, in a way.

A debris caution which causes a wreck 100 yards from the finish.

Plate races have been slowly getting more and more like this because more and more of the drivers race them like it's a damn video game.

Another thing is that the cars are going too fast and the crew chiefs have set up for speed, with stability being worse as a result.

Slow 'em down to 190 max and watch the wrecks decrease.

Holy shit. I can't believe ten cars managed such a good battle.

Keselowski didn't win Talladega, he survived Talladega. I didn't know Logano's car was good enough to get up there with the damage.

Definitely not what I expected to happen, a nice, hard and largely CLEAN battle for the win

Was hoping Jr would get it, or Newman would surprise us by pulling one out.
But it was not to be

But Newman's car's front end was one of the few to remain un-destroyed.
Bizarre...

It seemed like every single move he made turned out to be a bad idea because nobody was willing to work with him.

Yes, and it's rather disheartening. Not enough respect among drivers. What a stupid race.

Total non-event. Other than heaps of work for all the teams with trashed cars.

While it is a good thing, people don't get hurt in accidents here like they used to. These drivers think they're invincible, and they drive like it. If you knew that fucking up might have a good chance of hurting you, you might think a little bit before taking risks (not that drivers back then avoided risk). These guys race, crash their car, bitch about whoever they think caused it, go on to the next plate race, and rinse repeat.

Sadly it's happening in other series too. Driving like they're the only ones out there.

14 out of 40 cars finished today's race. Same # that started and finished the '86 Talladega 500, another crazy race.

At least we had some good racing for the lead on the last 3 laps.

It's mainly just the trade-off of too much safety but also the dangling stage point carrots. Still, I remember when they'd conga line the high lane for 490 miles and this is way, WAY better.
