why do they need such a long caution period just to pick up a few pieces that weren't even on the track

i dont get it. could nascar make it any easier to spot their invisibris caution bullshit? If its an invisibris caution, they dont show any debris. If there is an actual debris caution, they pan to some piece of debris on the track within 3 seconds of the caution coming out.
