What if I there's team orders to have one car push another, like you can intentionally get someone black flagged by pushing them?

I think that instructing the drivers to bump but not push and black flagging offenders eventually could be the best way to stop tandem racing without screwing up how the cars are built. However, it'll take time to really figure it out and it adds a judgement call to the mix. But it seems like even less of a judgement call than the bullshit yellow line rule, so whatever. (Now I feel like watching Jeff Gordon pass Rusty on the apron to win Daytona in '99. That was fun as hell. He barely cleared that slow car on the apron.)

If NASCAR isn't smart enough to figure out how to design cars that don't require tandem/push drafting driving tactics, why don't they hire people who are? Instead, they just resort to retarded rules they come up with and inforce them in a ridiculously inconsistent manner.

This is a crazy idea but nascar should try doing this. Set rules to build a car and release a schedule. The car builders will then pick out a crew and driver to race the cars. Set distances to the races and the team that finishes the race first wins.

Blasphemous.

The new grill opening would have ended the tandems anyway, in my opinion.

I don't mean to pile on but I thought that was pretty obvious.

Speeds are creeping up in Nationwide testing. Kwasniewski the first to get into the 190 range.
