Congrats to JB, I would have been happy to see either win it, but I've ben a big Benson fan since his ASA days so it was nice to see someone I pull for win for once.

I have a question though, on the top 35 rule because I can't remember off the top of my head what the procedure is for when a car in the top 35 doesn't compete. With DEI and Ganassi merging that will potentially leave two top 35 spots unused, and possibly more depending on what teams survive the off season, so what happens to those spots, does it go to the next highest car in the points? Not real important either way I guess, I don't see there being a lot of cars showing up for many of the races next year, except the high purse races of course.

The #01's points become unusable because of the merger and the 4 car rule. This came up last year with the DEI/Ginn merger where the 78 car wasn't able to use the points from one of the Ginn cars. The 36th car in owner's points will end up locked in automatically.

The truck race showed what a championship points battle is all about. That was exciting to watch. I was happy to see Johnny Benson and Bill Davis Racing win the championship. A great win for a classy group of people. Bill Davis has been in NASCAR for 21 years and a championship for his team was long overdue. That was a gutsy call by Johnny Benson's team at the end and I'm glad it paid off.

Brian Scott deserves big time pat on the bat with the way he finished the year. A year ago hardly anybody knew who he was. Now everybody knows what he can do. He drove a great race tonight.

Terrific truck season all around, very few boring races, and the best ponts race in years in any series. Congrats Johnny!

Good Qual runs by #31 Kenny Hendrick, #90 Terry Cook, and #50 Jeremy Clements. They start 16th, 17th, and 18th. Stanton Barrett will likely jump in the #31 and renumber it to 30, but that car and the #50 should be attempting the entire race.

During that replay from onboard Burton's car, I think I heard him say "Dammit" right before he hit the wall. LOL
Tough break for Burton.

Kenny Hendrick destroyed his car on his second lap. I think Hendrick ended up using the #30 car and changed the number before parking.

The racing has been pretty good up front in this race so far.
