Professionalism is a real uphill battle for Piquet, isn't it?

Fag isn't such a big deal in Brazil, I thought it was the equivalent of calling someone a wimp, or sissy.

Joy was doing his "Hey guys lets focus on something minor during a major wreck" thing as far back as Casey Atwood's flip in the Busch Series in 1999

This time it even causes the TV director to cut away from the car doing barell rolls! 8O

Ganassi\Target have bought Larson two races in the #51 before the year is out; at Lowe's and at Martinsville.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Nelson Piquet Jr., driver of the No. 30 car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, has been fined $10,000, required to participate in sensitivity training as directed by NASCAR, and placed on indefinite probation for violating the sanctioning body’s Code of Conduct policy.

The punishment doesn't make sense. Jeremy Clements was SUSPENDED for using a slur after the race at Daytona in February but Piquet uses a slur and gets fined.

A racist slur is always seen as much worse then a homophobic slur. Plus wasn't Clements in fron of a reporter?

The thing is Nelson and Parker hang out all the time... They're friends. I don't get it, I can't remember how many times I've called my friends that jokingly.

I have nothing against homosexuals...

Has anyone noticed how frequently FS1 accidentally shows the studio between commercials and catches off air conversations? Seems like it happens almost every commercial break.

I noticed it during the first truck race broadcast, Mikey and the other guy were talking about how they needed to jee up one of the stories and make it sound bigger than it was, did laugh at the time.

ESPN started doing that a while ago with some of their shows (PTI, for example) and I think FS1 is just copying that model.

Yeah, it is done on purpose. It's suppose to make the people on the shows seem more like the average person instead of overpayed tv "analyst."

Yes, if you notice the graphic in the lower right of the screen, it says Fox Sports 1 Sneak Peek or something like that.

Everyone is doing it now. NBCSN does it with the Dan Patrick Show as well.

David Caraviello @dcaraviello 8m
Jeff Burton says he's close to a deal that will keep him in the #NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for next season. Says he can't talk details yet.

Found this on Twitter few min ago! if this is real. He might be saved for 2014. Yeah!

If it's not the 78, then I can't see it being a decent ride. I like Jeff, and think he's still pretty quick on his day. But I'd rather he retired whilst still somewhere near the front. Hoping a new environment gives him a couple more decent years anyway.

Maybe Truex was talked into staying with the 56? I kind of figured he'd go to the 78.

I thought for sure they said he was going to the Swan Racing #30.

But who knows, the way the media has been this silly season.

If I were Jeff, and my choices were the #30 and retirement, I choose retirement.

Reading a bunch of tweets about Kyle Larson not running the 51 this weekend, and Justin Allgaier driving instead.

It was one guy (not sure who this @

MacOps guy is) and retweeted by Marty Smith and a few other relatively credible folks... if true, that's incredibly odd. Give the kid interviews and hype the heck out of his debut, only to bump him from the car? Probably an entry list muckup.

I'll believe it when I see it announced and official on Jayski. haha
