I dunno, usually once you tell someone/people of your curse, it becomes less effective. You must keep it a secret!

Can't you change your password weekly to whatever number Kyle Busch runs on Saturdays, then back to whatever cup driver you want to curse on Sundays?

That way if Kyle can't turn up and stink up the NW show he may just give up and run Cup full time only....making the world a better place for everyone :p

I agree. Jimmie Johnson stinking up the show on Sundays is one thing, but Kyle Busch going down a tier to beat up on the little guys is another... I could honestly see myself changing it to 54 and leaving it there for a while. :)

Be ready to be blamed for Johnson's dominance.

lol

I could also hold favourite drivers as ransom in the event someone here pissed me off. Like, "Gael, I swear, you piss me off one more time, I'm putting a 20 in there." haha

That being said, though, has anyone here ever done anything to inspire good luck for their drivers? Like, wear a certain hat, certain shirt, have a certain meal during a race, or whatever? I've never considered myself to be all that superstitious, but I suppose if you have it bad enough, you find certain ways to entertain yourself during a race weekend.

Considering the quality of actual racing over the past few years, that's not an awful idea. hah

I always felt I was a jinx to Kenseth. Whenever I'd pick him in a fantasy contest I'd do, he'd usually do badly. So then I started picking drivers I didn't like, hoping to jinx them.

I alway felt that I jinxed Gordon if I wore a #24 t-shirt during a race.

I never had a jinx thing in racing... In football I always felt if I took off my Dolphins hat during the game and placed it in front of me, they'd do better.

...anyways. Stewart had his second surgery (successfully). Has some metal in his leg now. Still being held in the hospital for another night at least.

I had the same thing done to my left leg after a motocross crash. It was painful, but the nurses had me putting pressure on it the 2nd morning after surgery with the help of a walker.

I was 15 so it might be a little different for Tony, but once the rod is in you can start therapy.

Hopefully he'll be back around October.

That's a bit of a surprise, actually. I would've thought for sure that the ride was Regan Smith's. We'll see what he can do, I guess - the 14 is technically better equipment (I think) than that 33 car he's driven the last couple years, so this should be a decent run for him.

Also, suprise surprise, Brian Vickers will apparently be officially named as Mark Martin's replacement in the 55. *gasp*

Dillon has been terrible in Cup cars so far, but I guess favors and Stewart's sponsor had a bigger say in picking him than Regan Smith. I'm ok with only one race for Dillon.

Now, lets congratulate Vickers on being a full-time Cup driver while he still runs Nationwide.

I was actually pulling for Kyle Larson to get the shot, but oh well.

I kinda was too, but he'll have his opportunity soon enough. Another full-time year in Nationwide is a good idea, like what the Dillons are doing. Two full seasons in one series before moving on is perfect, IMO.

Not being rushed is a great idea, though. Like, look at Kyle Busch! Once he gets to Cup, imagine the career he'll have!

Putting Larson in the 14 this early in his career would have been a fuckin terrible decision. Not to mention, he's Ganassi property. I'm sure Chip would want him to make his Cup debut in Ganassi equipment.
