Yet another update on the Charlotte infield road course from yesterday morning. It appears they are adding a damn joker turn in. It kinda of appears that they don't have it connected with the oval anymore too.

Kingsport is 15 minutes from my house. So, this would be worth checking out or not?

If it was me, I would just for the Modified race, although I am pretty bias on that as I am a major Modified fan :P

PASS is alright on the racing side of things, however you might sit through alot of caution laps if they race like they do at Hickory (at least whenever I was there watching anyways)

Myrtle Beach 400 is this weekend at Myrtle Beach Speedway, track is PACKED with cars. They had to move it to Saturday night tho due to a flooding amount of rain forecasted.

INEX's Winter Heat Series for Legend Cars & Bandolero's has released their schedule & information for their 2014/2015, all races will be in January and February and all races will be on their 1/4 mile oval. No races on the road course

Speaking of the road course, latest update that I have on it, yet again from a locally known poster on Instagram.

Apparently, there is going to be a World of Outlaws race at Placerville speedway this coming season for the first time since 1992.

$45 a ticket, but I am absolutely going. It's going to be cool.

Isn't that being promoted by Brad Sweet?

I'm typing this at 2:40AM central time and there is still racing going on at 5 Flags Speedway. A 50 lap late model truck race is taking place as I type this. They are still planning on running the Snowflake 100 before the end of the night. At this rate they might finish Saturday's racing activities at the crack of dawn on Sunday. Everything was pushed back due to rain showers and they are clearly determined to make sure nothing gets postponed.

Was a damn good race too. Anyone could have won at the end. The race had a pretty scary moment at lap 220 when Chad Finley's car caught fire but both him and Bubba Pollard was okay. Erik Jones had a RR trailing arm go out on a restart and caused a stack up that took out Chase Elliott as he got body damage and then later had overheating problems. Jones was able to rebound at the end after a caution with 5 to go involving Johanna Long and Preston Peltier. On the first restart with 5 to go, it got wild. They were 4 WIDE for the lead coming out of turn 2. The next lap, Augie Grill, Erik Jones and Daniel Hemric all got together, destroying Grill and Jones having a chance at a good finish. The last caution was a chain reaction deal that caught Daniel Hemric spinning and Donnie Wilson having nowhere to go as he spun into Daniel's RF. On the last restart John Hunter drove away from the rest of the field and won it. Dalton Sargeant finished 2nd in the Richie Wauters car and Derek Thorn finished 3rd. The PPV that SPEED51 did was pretty good but had some issues with losing the feed during the first 60 to 80 laps and then under the red flag for the Finley/Pollard crash & fire.

The Snowflake 100 finished at 4:14AM CT. Bubba Pollard got by John Hunter Nemechek with just 5 to go to win.

49 cars on the entry list for the Winter Showdown at Kern County next month for the SRL Southwest Tour. Hearing MavTV in the US will do a tape delay of it. Pretty big purse for it too.

CARS Tour rulebooks were released online, Super Late Models will mostly share the same spec as the ARCA/CRA Super Series, Southern Super Series, Snowball Derby and other weekly races at Five Flags. Late Models will be based on the 2015 NWAAS rulebook but bump stops and coil bonding is allowed.

Steve Kinser won tonight at Cocopah in night #3 of the Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown, Kyle Larson started outside pole but had a flat RR but came back to finish in the top 10.

Sarah Fisher entered the Chili Bowl today. Running for RW Motorsports, other notable entries include:
Bryan Clauson (2014 winner),
Sammy Swindell (past winner, WoO)
Kevin Swindell (past winner, NASCAR/WoO),

So I'll be running full time in the CARS Series for Chad Finley Racing, really excited. I think it'll be a great deal.

Also headed to check out Speedfest for the first time this weekend.
