There was some speculation that it'd be Turner and now it looks like that's true. Great news.

Not if he wants it to be successful.

Buescher for sure, being the son-in-law. Brian Scott too given he's co-owner and seemingly loaded.

According to what I just read at Fox Spots, it looks like the driver would be Justin Allgaier with Brandt coming with him from the Nationwide Series.

That'd be awesome. Long time coming for Allgaier.

About time. The way things were shaping, Allgaier could've had a Cup ride at Penske by now if not for the sponsorship troubles that plagued him in Nationwide.

But it will convert into Fox Sports 1 and still have pretty much the same racing program and most likely still be in HD.

Oh I know, and I'm actually looking forward to FS1; it's just annoying it took a format change to finally get Speed in HD here.

After hosting Late Model races only a few years ago, nature is slowly starting to reclaim historic North Wilkesboro Speedway:

Track just can't seem to make it over the hump and stay open.

I'd love to see a NNS/Truck weekend put there but unless someone can step up and do something like what happened with Rockingham, I'm afraid the war is over.

I wouldn't say it's ALL his fault. I'd say 50% is his fault and 50% is Bob Bahre's fault because they each bought 50% ownership in that track to steal it's Cup dates. Bruton wanted one date for Texas and Bahre wanted a 2nd race for Louden.

It would be great if someone with more commitment and some stable capital could buy the track and give it an honest-to-goodness refurbishing, even if it means tearing down some of the old relics rotting away (new commentary box, concessions, victory lane, scoring tower or billboard, perhaps even some SAFER barriers, etc.). Lure in some prominent touring series (K&N Pro East, ARCA, Whelen Mods) and work their way up from there.

I don't know why, but for some reason, I could totally see a Carolina boy like Dale Jr investing in North Wilkesboro. Does he own any tracks?

Stewart (Eldora) and Schrader (I-55) are the only active drivers I know of that own a track.
