Yes, I went once last year and it came the thunderstorm from hell midway through the program, so had to leave early. It's a nice track.

Where exactly do you live? I'm 15 minutes from Kingsport.

Knoxville, which means I'm actually closest to 411 Speedway. Shame there's no real close Pavement track here

Well there is, it's just flat and not suitable for cars.

Not at all surprising.

I'm surprised the Myers bros or Junior Miller haven't tried killing each other yet. Looks like NASCAR's waiting for that to close that shithole once and for all.

I just hope they come to their senses before someone dies.

Not that I condone the type of behavior, but if you want to fight another guy, wait until after the race and THEN cave his face in instead of using race cars as weapons.

Doing that would require common sense, which is seemingly non-existent at Bowman Gray.

Problem is, look at the stands, absolutely packed. People are showing up to see shit like this. They're making bank.

Meanwhile, the NASCAR Modified Series ran a CAUTION-FREE 200 lap race last night in New Hampshire with 23 cars starting on a track the same size as Bowman-Gray. They should show the drivers at Bowman Gray a video of that race to show them that it is possible to have a race on a 1/4 mile track that doesn't degenerate into a demolition derby.

Look at the amount of police....If you get out and look like you're gonna fight the cops are gonna be on you and if something does happen you'd probably end up with a citation or more.

True, but which sounds worse: assault and battery, or vehicular manslaughter?

Not to stick up for the idiots at BGS, but Monadnock is actually banked pretty well and has two lanes, so you don't need to shove someone out of the way to make a pass like you need to do at BGS.

Penalties were issued today by NASCAR (Don't believe it was the track, it was solely NASCAR), Both Myers (1) and Brown (83) are on probation until the end of the year and both we're docked 100 points. The 77 car caught behind the 1 car was stripped of the win, because he was deemed that he was in the wreck, and it rained right after this ending the race.

Tim Brown says he will not be back this season in protest of this.

They need to start suspending drivers.

Tim Brown made the smartest decision he's ever made. Stay away from that cesspool and never come back.

Doesn't Tim Brown work for Michael Waltrip Racing as his "everyday" job?

I had to check twice to believe that was Tim Brown.. I thought he didn't do that sort of thing.
