Even if he completed the Road to Recovery and was cleared of all charges. Who in Nascar would take a chance on him?


He could do what he did before he got kicked out and start his own team.

I highly doubt he could come up with the capital to start a team. Given that he just filed for bankruptcy and lost his home.

Mayfield waited four years to late to decide go down the right path in order to save his career. Truth be told, his Cup career in Nascar was already coming to end before his positive test. Poor performance and public feud with Evernham didn't help.

NASCAR working on track-drying system to shorten rain delays

I still like my "roll-out tarps" idea. :)

Basically, it would be sections of tarp rolled up on some kind of mechanism outside the catchfencing. There would be slits in the fence to allow the tarp through, to be rolled out and attached to some sort of hook in the infield grass.

Tracks would also need a sophisticated draining system, but you could theoretically have a storm of Pocono proportions (which I was in the middle of in August), without getting the track too wet.

Of course, this idea works marvellously in my mind. haha

Sucks for Stremme but maybe they will run the actual team car for Stremme. I have a feeling this 30 car is an MWR car just like the 40 Miley ran last year.

The pre season stream is a hell of a lot better than last years IMO. I've had no problems at all this year with my terrible Internet.

Danica having drive train problems and ghosts haunt her hotel room.

Apparently we have twitter hash tags on the roofs of cars now and the shark fends are clear now

The shorter the rain delays are the better. The idea sounds promising, hopefully it works the way they are expecting it to.

I think Michael Waltrip's facial expression in the Pennzoil picture makes him look like a fish.
