If it were anywhere but the plate tracks, I would never spend money to see a truck series race with cup guys in it.

Why was the 82 still on track to be involved in the Hornaday/Mingus wreck? In any other series in the world Crum's attempt at vehicular assault/homicide would have had him parked and banned for a spell. It doesn't really get any more retarded.

How many times have Maldonado and Cecotto Jr used their cars as weapons now?

Not sure what else to call it - turning someone at tht sort of speed could easily result in injury. It was clearly deliberate, even "Mikey" and Parsons didn't try to cover it up with a "oh, maybe he just misjudged getting behind him for a draft" yet he wasn't even pulled off the track in the race itself, let alone is he likely to get punished on any significant way for it. Just seems a bit odd.

I was expecting the race tonight would have unlimited green-white-checkereds until the leader took the white flag...this crew chief guide says something different... 8O

I very much doubt they'll need 3 attempts. The gen 6 is terrible on intermediate tracks and I'm sure the field will spread out very quickly. Until they sort out the aero, this event would be cooler at a short track.

Happy for my low expectations to be proven wrong though :p

I haven't actually watched this event for about 3 years. Hopefully it is exciting. But yeah, expecting it to spread out very quickly.

edit: I see it is listed as a 2.5 hour event. I'm sure over half of that will be driver intros and some band that I don't like. Typing this has kinda bummed me out already. :(

It's pretty bad that the best part of tonight's Jimmie Johnson Charlotte Safari Rape House Invitational.......is qualifying.
