I would seriously die if I saw Kurt Busch go all kung fu on Jimmie's nuts.

That was an entertaining race, would have liked to see Ambrose win, but he did a very good job overcoming his blown motor. It should be interesting when they go to Watkins Glen with double file restarts going into turn 1 and then up through the esses, I forsee more '07 shenanigans.

Jimmie Johnson is awesome, I'm SO HAPPY he wrecked Kurt Busch.

IMO they should get rid of this no passing before the S/F line. Let the guys race.

I disagree. You've already lost a pretty big advantage by having the guy behind you start right next to you. Taking away the leading car's allowance to be at the S/F first would be too much IMO. The new rule brings the competition closer and close enough on restarts, so keeping the original start rules for restart is right in my opinion. I know when they first announced the rule I said I would miss guys passing to the right before the line, but after seeing it for a couple weeks I like it the way it is now.

I'd like to see the double file restarts tweaked a bit. This'll probably sound dumb, but imo the 3rd place car gets screwed a lot (if the leader chooses the non "preferred" side.

I think they should let all odd positioned drivers choose high or low. So 1st chooses top or bottom, then 3rd, 5th, etc.. and then 2nd, 4th, and 6th fill in the open slot. IMO, Ambrose got hosed on those 2 restarts cause he was on the outside going into the right hander.

Do you know how much trouble that would cause getting things set up for the restart? It would be a clusterfuck.

In the sportsman division at my local track, they put out a cone just before the one to go on restarts and the drivers go high or low at the cone to choose their lane. This adds a bit of strategy because drivers can choose their preferred line regardless of being in an odd or even position, but if enough people choose that line, someone in the back can gamble by starting further up in the field, but in the unpreferred lane. Maybe NASCAR should try something like this.

NASCAR caution periods take too long as it is. It's fine, leave it alone.

I think during each caution, there should be a fan vote to pull one car into the pits and have the shit beat out of it, lust like in the 24 Hours of LeMons

Pity for Ambrose and Montoya.

Funny race. Very dodgem-esque .

They could do how the legends cars do it. Like a couple posts above said, let the leader choose which lane they want and then so on after that. If the first 5 cars take the inside line, the 6th place car can go all the way up on the outside to 2nd place to gamble if they so choose. Its not difficult and would spice things up a bit more. muahahah
