Bloody good race, if spoilt slightly by the rain. It is slightly annoying that they wait 2+ hours to call it at Charlotte, and yet less than an hour here, although I guess the time may have had something to do with that.

Brilliant lead-in to the Daytona race next week.

When it comes to winners this year, and what we've seen would you all call this the best season for nascar in a long time?

No. COT at 1.5 -2 milers has sucked worse than usual and the Chase will ruin anything that might have been good about it.
Double file restarts are simply awesome though.

COT needs some help on the cookie cutter track, even the old cars sucked on it. But the COT at Talladega, Daytona, Dover, and Road courses

I wasn't able to watch. How did Logano get himself into the lead?

He pitted at a later yellow than most everyone else (wasn't the yellow his own, for spinning out with the flat LR tire?), so he was able to stay out longer, and played the rain game since he had nothing to lose.. Newman tried, but didn't have enough fuel.

I felt bad for RCR and Truex after Kyle Busch tried to go for a hole that didn't exist on the restart.

Woo! Joey Logano is the best driver EVER! Did you see how he muscled his way to the lead for the win!?

Sorry but rain wins are shit imo.

I am a Kurt Busch fan and I will be the first to say his win last year was shit.

I like how they were going 3 wide for the lead for a good 2 laps after the restarts, that added a nice touch of butt-puckering.

I thought it was a really entertaining race. Loads of side by side racing for the lead and plenty of incidents. A very lucky win but everyone else had the same chance to pit under that caution and gamble on the weather. So a good call none the less. On to Daytona :)

Got back from Loudon last night, was a fun weekend overall, kind of amazing how similar all 4 races were to last year's as far as being good or bad. East series races was a very good race, Modified's were insane, I was worried that I may have hyped it up too much, but they did not disappoint. Nationwide race was forgetable except the Vicker/Bliss/Speed incident, that you could see coming a mile away. I'll agree with Mike Bliss that the spacer plate and gear rule made it very difficult to pass, it was the same last year. Cup race was good, was hoping it would go the distance, but it was still good, start time needs some work. When it pretty much rains just about everyday at the same time, you'd think you would try to schedule it earlier so it would be less of a problem.

For anyone who is interested in a more detailed version of what happened I have posted a recap with lots of pics (around 80 for each) of the East Series race here http://www.tbk-light.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=4004 and the Modified race here http://www.tbk-light.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=4005.

The way the race ended may be a shame, but hey Nascar is about a lot of ways that a race can unfould.
