That race in 1999 that Dale Jarrett won that was caution free absolutely sucked. Dale even apologized in victory lane for how boring it was.

That race is still my benchmark comparison point for how boring a race is.

Michigan has always been an awful track for stock car racing.

I remember back in '97 when Mark won a lot, I used to hope he'd blow an engine or have SOMETHING ruin his race. Mark's the best at saving fuel, he'd win every fuel mileage race there was in the 6 car. Unfortunately that meant he won a lot of the boring ones.

Nowadays I'm a lot happier to see him win 8)

I thoroughly enjoyed this race. Only 4 cautions, 2 because of invisibris. The best boring races are the ones that don't take 5 hours to finish.

I won both apparently, an AUTOGRAPHED DOUBLE D bobblehead and a 1/43 Alain Prost Ferrari diecast :flag:

Nice, the '90 Ferrari right?

That was a good race yesterday. I've actually been watching some 90s Michigan races lately and that wasn't any different other than the two invisibris cautions, lol. Great racing between Johnson and Biffle near the end. Too bad it probably used up all the fuel that Mark was wisely saving back in 3rd since the restart. Good to see him winning races like this this year. 8)

I recorded the race and watched this night cause I cannot sleep (but I slept during the race): only the last 10 laps were good (well maybe just the last two, because Jimmie was way faster than Biffle)... the other 190... zzzzzzzzzzz.

Awesome winner, when I began watching NASCAR in the middle on 90s I didn't like Martin, as he was a Jeff Gordon's rival, but growing up I have to say he's an unbelievable driver. Three wins this season, amazing!!!

to be honost only 1 of the cautions was for "invisibris"

on the second caution the debris was shown on racebuddy but not on the TNT feed for some reason

^What he said. It was actually in the groove.

Question - Did TNT say something was broken on the 9 car with 50 laps to go? If not, that team needs to be shot.

I know they ran out of fuel, but they saved for virtually the entire last run and weren't even close to making it. What's the point in restarting in the top-5 when all you're going to do is start riding on the apron to save gas right off the green and then lift halfway down the straightaways for the rest of the run, and then still run out coming to the white flag?
