Great onboards. After a couple of days I'm starting to think the race will become one of the "classics".

I don't know how a wet Brazillian GP can't ever be considered a classic

If we were around in 1993 the shock of Prost crashing and that huge start crash amongs many other incidents, would be seen as a classic too

1996 Hill dominated but you still had Rubens doing a bit of a Max in the Jordan and taking it where it shouldn't have been.

2001 Tast

2003 Uber Best Tast

2008 OMG those first and last laps (middle part: Meh)

2012 Jesus Christ: Wet finales at this place are brilliant

2016: woo-hoo! Again it would've been an epic finale if it wasn't for the dreaded money-spinning Abu-Dhabi 2 weeks later :S

Yeah I'm watching it for the first time, and I'm 3 hours in and they've barely done any racing. It's not something I'd watch again.

Wait 10 years from now and we get this one resembling Monaco 84, but this time with Verstappen. I bet.

I didn't watch it live, it's one of the best races of the season if you just watched the highlight with all the waiting edited out :p

Please elaborate because a few cars crashing, a Merc 1-2 and one driver actually driving properly in the wet isn't a classic to me.

Perhaps my standards are higher than yours but iono, perhaps you got some fever from Covid 19.

You know I had a weird case of Mandela Effect. I was under the impression that Max won this race somehow, but it was indeed a Merc 1-2.

I have Mandela Effect with several races I didn't watched at the time  such as thinking Senna had won Monaco GP with the JPS Lotus

True Classic from the day it happened. I never doubted it. After so much time craving for a good wet race, we got this, and with Max driving, his unbeliavable save. Then losing a lot of positions only to make that recovery and THAT FUCKING PASS FOR THE PODIUM!!! This was a classic race, with drama, suspense and a proper climax on the end. So rare in F1 in any era.

I'd say it passes for a classic in the horrible period that is '15-'19. At the time it was possibly more exciting because people thought it heralded the arrival of someone who might actually start challenging Hamilton for the championship. In hindsight, not so much.

Now 03, THAT was a classic. This doesn't even get close.

Still a fun race though.

from 2004 onwards any wet race that had cars on the track can be called a classic. Rain got rare from that year and when it rained they pussied it out

2003 brazilian gp steps up as one the greatest race of all time, a whole different level. a must watch for everyone wanting to get into the sport
