Finally! We're back to a clean and organised European country with a long history of hosting GPs, because no tradition ever has a year 1!

My favorite scenery. Track itself isn't particularly special, but at least it's different from modern tilkedromes (I'd like to see more short tracks). Also, the weather raises always some concern.
Mercedes will doubtlessly dominate again and Williams will probably be strong and Red Bull will surely suck.

Yep. A track <60 seconds would be great. Great for the spectators for sure.

Interlagos has some of this feature as you can see almost all the track from the backstretch seats. Also is one of the few short tracks nowadays.

You know, they should run at Avus some year just for laughs. I'm pretty sure the gaps would be very close and with DRS nobody would be able to get away from the pack

It's possible that se go under 67 second pole this year. They've repaved and smoothened the track from last year. DTM guys improved over 2,5s so all time quickest pole lap is in the reach. That's Mansell 1991 at Silverstone with 1:07,4.

i wonder how a F1 car would run indoors/concrete & coke syrup

I was going to say Indy Invitational but I don't think the arena for that could hold more than 4 cars at a time

The Osterreichring was one of the greatest racing circuits ever built, however this version is an acceptable modernisation, still keeping the overall vibe of the old while still maintaining the stunning scenery. Proof you don't need 25 corners and 5.5 km to make a great track. Keeping it simple is often the best method.

After the unexpected bad races at Montreal and Baku hopefully we will have a good one again...

As much as I disliked the car at the time, but in hindsight, it was one of the sexiest beasts ever created by mankind

Unbelieveable scenery ,such a shame I didn't managed to go to this years race.

I just hope it will be better then Baku and Montreal.

Niki Lauda set pole at Dijon in 1974 at 58,79

I never took the time to watch me some old Silverstone. This is as close to an oval as a road race can get: a few ultra-fast right handers and a chicane. Straight to the point.

Mansell set the pole lap at Ricard in 1990 at a 1.04.402 (on a repave)

Prost went around Dijon in 1982 in 1.01.380 :8:

Any update on whether or not they might remake the old course? as that photo from a few months back of turn 1 looked like they might be.
