How long did it take from the first start to the third start, including red-flags?

They lowered the kerbs probably for the bikes

Don't know exactly, but sources say over 2 hours. I wonder what are the longest breaks before the restart?
Spa 1998 took an hour, just like Silverstone 2014.

They could just go down to the Zeltweg airfield and race there. If they managed to do sub 70 second laps in the early 60's, imagine nowadays.

Also, let's remember that the 2016 season has seen pole laps much faster than in 2015, so if it doesn't rain, we will see a pretty large improvement for everybody there!

Canada was different, there wasn't start mayhem and they were already using modern standarts (SC start)

but in 1982 race took a long while before the start due to Paletti crash

Not sure, but Monza 1978 the restart after start crash (which eventually claimed Ronnie Peterson's life) took long enough that the new race was shortened to 40 laps. Basically just long enough to award full points.

Simply put f..... grass next to the kerbs and problem solved like it was 15 years ago. Who runs wide beaches it and game over

For heavens sake no, someone might end up with dust on their tyres, causing an outburst about the lack of track safety by Rosberg, Button and Massa.

These stupid idiots keep making it worse and worse, now even the braking zones have asphalt next to the track.
