Is it just me but your thread crashes the firefox everytime? Probably due to the multiple embedded youtube videos. Anyway, really looking forward to the whole weekend. Last year even the practice sessions were very incident-filled, so definitely worth wake up in the middle of the night. Weather should be better than last year. |

I wouldn't mind a race like 2005. Thread works again for me as well. |

Which for me, in all the years I've watched F1, was FIA at its worst. |

Oh crap, it looks like a washout Friday. And since no rain is expected during the qlf and race, there will probably be zero action on the track. Maybe it's not worthy to wake up on Friday after all... |

Disagree, the models can change a lot the next few days going from a dry weekend to rain all weekend long. |

Early forecasts say the typhoon will pass east of Japan, only affecting Suzuka on Friday. This could change, but likely Saturday and Sunday dry. |

Japanese Grands Prix never get the right amount of rain. It's always too much when the clouds roll in. |

Chris A wrote: Japanese Grands Prix never get the right amount of rain. It's always too much when the clouds roll in. They should move the race to the end of october/begin of november, like it was from 1987 to 1995, the chance of a typhoon would be much lower... the end of september/begin of october is still in the peak of the typhoon season... I remember a few weeks ago, there were 3 typhoons forming at the same time in the Pacific Ocean. The rain at late october, early november is usually lighter when it happens, it would be a relief for the typhoon problems. In the past 10 years, we had lots of problems regarding the rain! An entire day cancelled in 2004, due to a typhoon, a Qualifying session cancelled in 2010, due to the heavy rain and last year, a typhoon again. |
