From one of the most boring races on the calendar this has become one of the highlights of the season. One of the few tracks with a bit of grass around the edges and usually an exciting race with spectacular overtakes. |

Random Fact: First time in the 30 year history of the Hungarian GP that it does not follow a German race |

I like Hungary, it is often somewhat unpredictable. great to see a track where it is easy to see what is the track and the part that is supposed to be off-track. |

Yeah track limits are clearly defined Te last few races have been pretty good here. But its one of those that can have a classic (2006) or an absolute snoozefest (2004). Always hit and miss here. |

Everybody always goes to 2006 when talking about a good Hungarian GP but that's only because of the mixed conditions, the incidents throughout the race and the safety car bunching things up. It was a great and memorable race. However 1989 is the finest example of a good Hungarian GP. It was dry, the field was close and there was some great overtaking maneuvers. It didn't need mixed conditions, incidents and SCs to spice up the racing. [dailymotion]http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x11jfx8_f1-hungarian-gp-1989-race_sport[/dailymotion] And as for terrible Hungarian GPs, I point you in the direction of 1993 and 1994, perhaps even 1995. Almost nothing happened. 2004 is probably the ultimate in shittiness, but it has some good competition. |

what a year 1989 was. Too many cars to actually allow them all on the grid, resulting in Friday early morning pre-qualifying. Beasts are screamers of cars and a season long fight for the title, with wins not always just coming from the dominant team. |

If the 1990 incidents of Senna and Berger bumping Nannini and Mansell at the chicane happened today, what would their penalties be? |

one dramatic race was 1997, the closest that an Arrows was to win |

one of those heart breaking moments. Massa was close to victory in 2008 after completely dominating from 3rd on the grid. Car gave up with 3 to give if I remember well. |

Hungaroring is followed by Spa, but funny thing is that the former has lately offered much better races that the latter track. Anyway, I still don't find Hungaroring that great a track. 2004 is still probably the most dullest GP ever by all standards. Also the lack of gravel traps (there were only 2 left last year) makes the track quite tiresome. Still, compared to Tilkedromes it has quite unique design and definitely more soul that newer tracks. |
