I'm getting of the opinion that F1 should just go away. There are about 150 better championships out there now anyway.

tempting to ask you to name them all. :p

I do have a feeling there is a masterplan by Bernie and/or the FIA.

I'm convinced Bernie has the power to safe Caterham, Marussia, Sauber, Force India and Lotus. I'm sure he could convince other manufacturers to join today. I'm not surprised he actually does understand modern media and willing to embrace Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. But first things have to get worse.
Maybe he really does want to buy back F1 cheap from CVC.

Bernie doesn't have the powers to put the rules he want as he owns comercial rights?

Bingo! I've thought that for years.

But it's Melbourne :(

It's a great place for a race

It is getting a bit desperate now. I've been getting more and more fed up about the changes they make to the circuits, and now it looks like there are going to be less and less competitive cars to even go around the circuits. Meh.

That said, I thought last year was quite interesting, and I love Melbourne, so I shall try and stay positive.

According to Auto Motor und Sport, Three teams have not yet paid Pirelli for their tires. These teams are Force India, Sauber and Lotus.

So it's Mercedes, Williams, Ferrari, Red Bull and Toro Rosso that should be good to go.

Give me a break...

What about Manor? Are they actually in a better position financially than the one blocking their entry at first?

We'll have a full grid at Melbourne, just that 6 cars won't have any tyres, 2 car's engines won't turn on, 2 car's engines will have exploded before turn 1 and 2 cars won't have enough seats.

Should be a good race apart from that though

Fitzpatrick and King should have enough personal finance between the two of them to keep the team going for a while, until the prize money starts coming in.

To the best of my knowledge, all of Manor's problems so far stem from logistics. They should be fine by Bahrain.

guys

hey guys

this whole Sauber thing has given me an amazing idea. Instead of 3rd cars, convert all the current cars to two-seaters. The half decent pay drivers can do the actual driving, while all the useless knobbers (Chilton, Jorda etc) can sit in the back doing the DRS, doing the KERS, and complaining to Charlie about how it's wet and they're tired and their feet hurt. The teams get money from 4 pay drivers instead of 2, they don't have to build any more cars and we don't have to watch Chilton and co tooling around at the back burning daddy's money.

Everyone's a winner, I've saved F1

Perhaps 2015 is the beginning of the end, bout time F1 died.

So your idea is to turn F1 into powerboat racing? :p

Just make the WEC the pinnacle of World Motorsport - which it is kind of starting to become anyway - and get Ferrari, McLaren etc into that.

At this point they should just pump Yakety Sax through the loudspeakers nonstop for the rest of the weekend.

To go with it, there could be a scene of at least one member of Sauber being chased by the police through the paddock.

I propose a separate session to decide the two Sauber drivers.

The two best crashes win
