In the summer break, we are usually kept excited by news and rumours about the seats next season. So far it has been quiet, but we already have a confirmed line up for next year: Sauber keep both drivers for 2016 (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/120062) as posted a couple of weeks ago.

According to rumours, Ferrari have showed interest in Bottas and Ricciardo so Raikkonen must leave, but this is denied by all parties.

And a new rumour is that Vandoorne will be announced as a 2016 McLaren driver in Spa in 10 days (article in Dutch: http://www.autosport.be/news/wordt-f1-zitje-stoffel-vandoorne-in-spa-bekendgemaakt.html)

What else do we have?

Why so much hate? They didn't cancel any race to introduce this one. For some fans it's more action in one season. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Ferrari has cooled on Bottas as Williams' compensation demands are too much for them.

The 'new' rumour (which started about a month ago but got a fresh airing today courtesy of Bild) is that Ferrari will keep Raikkonen for next season and replace him with an out-of-contract* Verstappen in 2017.

*Bild also reports that Red Bull believe they have Verstappen under contract for 2017.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

My main issue is they called it the "European" Grand Prix when its nowhere near mainland Europe

Swiss GP in Dijon, Luxemburg GP in Germany. They have to give the child a name. No country can have two GPs (Russia and Azerbaijan are both part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics - in Bernie's mind still maybe :) )

Welcome to the San Marino GP in Italy, not San Marino...

To me it is unnecessary to further populate an already crowded calendar, which serves nothing than to 1) increase costs for teams that are already struggling for funding and 2) lining the pockets of Bernie and his cronies. Regardless of the venue, it is a race that isn't needed. But I'll still watch as I love F1 and that therefore makes me a hypocrite.

+1

added to the fact it'll br like russian gp, with bernie and the president of azerbaijan being shown more than the race itself

and those in-track messages from bernie saying "thank you mr soviet oligarch that rules this old soviet satellite"

Dieter Rencken:

Who holds the key to the 2016 driver market? He doesn't even hold road car keys yet.

I'd say the 2017 market.

The track layout seems to be much better than boring Sochi.

If he's moving at all its within the Red Bull family. If the other top teams are really after him, Red Bull will not let him go.

And I thought the map of the Valencian GP looked awesome. We all know how the action on that track turned out. Unless there are undulations in the track to make it interesting and exciting, we could in F1 terms have another Pheonix on our hands.
