Post subject: | F1 Onboard Camera History Screenshots + CAMERA HISTORY WRITE-UP |
Hello, I've always been fascinated by F1's onboard camera's, the various angles, the different sounds and performance / behaviour of cars, the rare shots from backmarker teams, the different liveries and shapes of the cars seen from incar. Over the last 10 years I have assembled an entire library of screenshots of as many onboard angles as I can find (official FOM camera's in official sessions) right from the first used in 1985 right up to present day. I have uploaded the entire gallery here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ezjw3wzfs ... PDATED.rar Also their is pictures of cars carrying camera's to which I have thus far not found any footage so if anyone can help me complete my library then it would be overwhelmingly appreciated! Regards Luke |

Here's one of the one's you didn't have an image from, Camera on the side of Trulli's Lotus at Silverstone 2010: https://flic.kr/p/phHusZ Popped up on the OnBoard channel for a few seconds on his In-lap at the end of qualifying. And one from the mirror of David Brabham's car at the 1990 Australian Gp: https://flic.kr/p/phKbE9 You can see it mounted on the mirror in this shot from the other OnBoard camera: http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/1052 ... t111ea.jpg |

I seem to remember back in 2003 during the Austrian GP weekend - ITV did a feature on Williams, and Ralf ran a cockpit view camera but complained that it distracted him so they removed it at FP1 end. |

I'm doing the sounds for a GP4 1998 mod, and I need sound samples from the Minardi. Does the footage you have happen to be without commentary ? Or at least with just enough commentary to be able to hear the engine at times ? Thanks ! |

unfortuantly not, its brief 10 second clip during the Arg. GP with next to no in-car audio, the Minardi used the 1997 Ford engine of which I have a clip onboard the 1997 Stewart Ford (Youtube channel the1984sniper) (I thought it was you Briere from GPGames! small world!) |

Oh nice, yeh I saw that the VJ engine was in fact an updated 1997 block, so that would be accurate indeed And yes what a small world we live in :Edit// There is no in-car audio in your 1997 video, but it's ok I just remembered that the Tyrrell used the same engine as well. And Suzuka qualifying has plenty of Takagi onboard footage (you probably know what specific recording I'm talking about ) so it's all good |
