35th race held on Québec's most reknown track, the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix promises to be a thriller, with both Mercedes drivers under the spotlight. The 4.361 km track is now set to host what should be a unique race. I found no information about this, but there should be two DRS zones : one after the hairpin and one before start-finish.

So yeh, I'll be at the pitwalk on Thursday, hopefully I'll see many drivers :) Phil1993 is almost here too, welcome to Canada my friend !

Some great memories at this circuit in the very recent past...

2007 - Alonso LOLs, Sato takes points and Kubica's big smash (and Hamilton's first win)

2008 - Hamilton LOLs and Kubica's win for BMW

2011 - Race of many hours and that last lap pass for the win from a zero to hero Jenson

Monaco-Montreal-Red Bull Ring-Silverstone-Hockenheim. Great streak of tracks.
Montreal being one of my (and everyone's) favorite tracks. Usually provides plenty of action, but not always.
Let's hope better race than last year. 2013 rating: 5.03 (13th best race).

always looking forward to this race.

It's one of those tracks that has very little margin for error.

And that makes this track so great.

One of the best organised and attended events of the season. Its always great to see the centre of the city in the backdrop. Always a track that can bite at any moment.

I did get a chuckle after reading "best....attended" with a picture containing a scarcely populated grandstand :P In seriousness, love this circuit and praying that both Reb Bulls are trouble free for once so we can see them go toe to toe.

With the straights here, I expect the Mercedes to be well clear. Nico's never been particularly strong here, if I remember - unless Schumacher's particularly strong showing one year has tricked my memory. Lewis is a bit of a dab hand around the place though ... when there's a green light in the pit lane.

Similar circuit to Albert Park so maybe McLaren will actually show better this race (note: not actually improve, just do better) as they keep saying they will ... someone went to the David Coulthard school of PR. This is going to be our race. Probably good for the Force India's too - Merc plus traditionally slippery car.

I like Canada, its a mix of monza and monaco. High speeds and the walls are very close. Hope there will be a couple of visitors trough the weekend..

Was it the race when Jenson Button won the race at the last lap? Schumacher ran well for a podium but he finished .4th I believe.

Think it was, yes. I think Button's recovery deposed him of the podium slot ...

Schumi was also deposed by Webber late in the race

Ahh yes, Webber struggled with the Merc's top speed and his RB's lack thereof for ages, and Button passed them both before heading off after Vettel ...

Kind of yes, kind of no. Button passed Webber thanks to a mistake by Mark at the final chicane.

I don't care if this is childish, but crashes please.

Come on guys, you can do it. Turns 5, 8, 10, 15... endless possibilities to make those slacking mechanics earn their wage.

Crashes are always cool but I'd really like mechanical problems to be much more common. Before this season started I was hoping we'd see that but... :slaphead:
