Track seems to be damp, and probably the action will be minimal in fp2.

So even oversleeping couldn't slow Hamilton down.

In other news, Sebastian Vettel has ran out of ideas for helmet designs.

F1 is so fucked up that they are even out of luck

It rains when it shouldn't and, surely, won't rain when it ought to, in the race

I loved last time at Interlagos when top teams refused to run at practice "in order to save wet tyres for qualifying", and wets were never needed in qlf due to red flag period. And obviously the race was dry.
But that has nothing to do with current situation: no rain expected for the rest of the weekend.

One of the Red Bull mechanics had to pull Kimi out the way to prevent him been run over by Vettel's practice start.

Watching the GP2 coverage at the moment. The TV directing is as awful as it usually is here.

Even Buxton's had a go at it.

"The usual two metres of the fastest lap then follow the driver for 3/4's of their slow down lap"

The housing does work. The camera points outwards and can see. The rules don't say the camera has to be able to see X amount or whatever.

AIUI, the FIA based their 'clarification' on the fact that the diagram to accompany the rules shows the nose cam on the outside of the car. No, really.

They've run it in practice for F1 before and during testing. I suspect it'll be a normal onboard as well, or just go back to normal for Sunday.

Oh no...you don't understand. This will now most likely be a close to epic Monaco GP as I will miss it not by choice but due to circumstances......
