I really hope so. At least last year the race had fantastic battles all over the place.
But after the disappointments of Australia and Malaysia, I'm a bit concerned the dullness continues. Mercedes takes 1-2 for sure.

Race start is 6pm local time, sunset on race day is 5:57pm. Its gonna be close to a full night race, rather than a twilight style race.

This weekend I will be in Paris. Is there any restaurant or place where I can watch Formula One live on Sunday?

got to say it's a pretty bland track, but last two races here were really good.

In places like Sakhir, in the middle of the desert, the temperature drops quickly as the night takes place, I wonder how the teams will deal with the temperature changes during the race, the tyre behaviour, the grip values, all will be changing constantly and quickly, I think that's probably the biggest challenge of the weekend.

Is Sakhir any more extreme than Abu Dhabi though? Cause they'll have experience of that already.

Yes, Sakhir circuit was actually build in middle of the desert, I remember in the first year of the track in the calendar, 2004, there was fears that the sand could cause a lot of problems if the wind was strong and there's another factor, at Abu Dhabi the race starts at 17:00 local time, at Sakhir it will be starting at 18:00 local time, that one hour difference will be crucial.

I still remember some of the reactions following the 2005 race, when Pedro de la Rosa made his overtaking moves. Quite a few people thought he was stupid for trying to overtake as some of his moves failed. :slaphead:

Felipe Nasr (Williams), Giedo van der Garde (Sauber) and Robin Frijns (Caterham) will participate in FP1 tomorrow.

Thanks. I'd already read about vdGarde and Frijns, but Nasr is new. Who are they all replacing?

I'd expect Nasr to be in place of Massa.

Giedo's in for Gutierrez, Frijns in for Kobayashi. Not sure about Nasr.

Well if Felipe reacts to this instruction anyway like he did to last weekend's, I fully expect him to be sitting in his car, arms folded, and refusing to get out like a moody child.
