Driver of the year: Ricciardo, new to a team and directly destroying the 'unbeatable' Vettel.

Team of the year: Mercedes, obviously.

Biggest surprise of the year: I already chose Ricciardo for best driver so I'm going also for Williams. Would have been Bottas only but Massa stepped up big time at the end of the season.

Biggest disappointment of the year: Vettel, got #REKT!

Crash of the year: Massa and Perez in Canada.

Drive of the year: Hamilton from the back of the grid in Hungary.

Pass of the year: Lewis Hamilton keeping his foot down in the esses at Bahrain.

Most controversial moment of the year: Rosberg and Hamilton at Spa.

Quote of the year: Bernie showing he can't keep up with the modern world: ''I'm not interested in tweeting, Facebook and whatever this nonsense is.''

FAIL of the year: So much fail this season. Sauber maybe, but I think Esteban is a bigger fail in that team.

Funniest moment of the year: Ricciardo's stache at Austin.

Saddest moment of the year: Bianchi, ofcourse.

Race thread of the year: Dega.

Tbh, I love that Bernie quote as it sums up exactly my feelings towards these things, as well. Nonsense.

Yeah, this is just a general personal view(mine and Bernie's) and I understand that FOM must look into those and see how the "product" can take advantage out of it.

PS: Holy shit, I missed the Talladega Grand Prix. That must have been quite unique

:p

I agree on the whole social media stuff, also not a massive fan. But if you look at how other sports are evolving towards other new mediums and how F1 is always 2 steps behind others sports (they had relatively late 1080P for example) you have to say Bernie is bad in taking the sport to the next level. Although I'm not a massive Dorna fan, they are a good example how to exploit those other channels (for example Youtube).

And yes the Talladega GP was epic, massive flippers (not going with fatals with the Bianchi incident still fresh), bumping and a lot of shake and bake.

Echti might know better, but I think neither F1 or MotoGP are broadcasted in 1080p, tbh. Sorry for going OT but I think to have read somewhere that it is in 720p.

Well, it seems very few things are available in 1080p:
