I have just read that Michael's medical file has been stolen and has even been offered for sale. Any source for this?

Yeah i head it to on the radio.
The medical file is stolen and offered to numerous papers in the Uk, France, Germany for 50.000 Euro.
The family stated that if sombody expose the file they will file a lawsuit against the person/paper.

I wonder why they don't want the public to know the condition of schumy..... maybe he is even brain dead and his wife is keeping him alive for money or something else, we don't even know for sure.

I doubt any paper would get near it, even one of the tabloid. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns up on Pastebin after too long though :(

Not with a threat of legal action, no. It'll be released once the thieves realise they can't get any money for it.

Because medical files are confidential.

Why would the reason have to be that cynical? Do you find it easy to talk about your relatives' medical conditions? Or your own handicaps? Most people don't like to reveal that stuff, that's mainly what medical secrecy is all about. I sure don't, and you'll find many famous people (politicians) did the same despite being sick.

Regarding money, a man like Schumacher, especially given the life of relative risk he used to have, has probably taken all measures for after his death. I don't see the additional gain people would have from him staying alive without bringing more income from work or promotional operations. Heck, at this point his death would make more money from tribute merchandise, rather than slowly diving into vegetative limbo.

This has already been confirmed by other members, but for the record; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-27988747

Sad, but with Kehm's stance towards releasing information through the official channels (i.e. her) almost inevitable.

lol, that's like justifying a bank heist by the clerk's stance to only giving money through proper channels and not sharing it with anyone.

It's not justifiable at all, it is disgusting and illegal behaviour. But there is lots of money to be made out of that sort of information and there will always be people willing to chance their arm. Did you all forget the 'priest' that tried to get into Schumacher's room at the ICU?

Its a terrible and despicable thing, but not surprising really. I can't help but feel that if there were more regular or more detailed info about his condition then there would be less incentive for this kind of stuff to happen. Not saying its right, but surprised that it took this long to happen.

Not like he can use it again anytime soon, might as well get something for it now instead of paying storage costs for however many years it'll be.

There was a story in last Sunday's Blick that Michael may be moved home before the end of the month and that he currently communicates via blinking.

exactly. i'm definitely sure they are not going out of cash, she probably doesn't use it, Michael for sure is not gonna use it and keeping it must cost so much money, so selling it is just a reasonable thing. It's not that because you have infinite amount of money you have to waste them

The person who stole Schumi's medical records was caught and arrested, then found hung in his prison cell.

it's actually ironic if you think that just two days before Bernie bought his freedom in a german court. sometime shame is all it takes to make a difference between life and death, it's a pity that it's something rich men and politicians always miss.

That's why they are rich and/or in politics. This latest and unexpected twist has made this whole skiing incident to probably the saddest story in sports. Another record for Michael. :(
