really not sure yet what GP to attend, or if I will.

But I think there is a new grandstand in Melbourne

Quote:
The World Champion Grandstand at the Australian Grand Prix sits on Turn 3. Honouring the current FIA Formula 1 World Champion, seats here offer fine views of turns 3, 4 and 5. Any Formula 1 aficionado will truly enjoy the adrenaline-moments the stand offers as the cars drastically snake through turns 3 and 4 before accelerating down the short straight that leads to the smooth Turn 5.

The World Champion Grandstand is a fine spot to watch the season’s kick-off race and is considered as one of Albert Park’s most popular areas. Cash bar facilities and toilets are located just behind the grandstand.

do you have plans already?

Considering Jerez testing, but I might not be able to as it happens that's when I'll likely be doing my next Photography project for exhibition.

Depending on budget, hopefully Jerez testing plus the European events [minus Hockenheim]. Perhaps Singapore & Abu Dhabi, depending on what happens before then.

Maybe Spa, depending on the first races of 2014. F1 is not worth the money atm

Most likely Spa again like last year. Hockenheim hasn't been as good as the Nurburgring in my opinion. Been there twice now. And since F1 will attend the Hockenheimring next year, the choice is easy. Cheap(er) tickets, great atmosphere!

Oh the problem is not just the accent. It's Spanish I'm not very comfortable with, so I'm mega screwed :)

I've been to spain a few times and english never worked. Italian was the best option but still... I guess it will depend entirely about how free I am when testing is coming up and may just go for it anyway. We'll see. The experience I had this year at Silverstone was a lot better than I had at any other GP though so that's kind of at the back of my mind.

The similarities with Italian can probably get you quite far - Spanish just about works for me in Portugal, just use a Sean Connery voice. English is still taking in Spain, it must be said.

I seem to bring out bad weather at F1 tests. I went to Silverstone and it snower, Barcelona and it rained.

Just learn the basic words and you'll be find. I got around Monza just knowing the basics plus words like 'ticket' etc.

It's also rained at some point across the weekend during the four races I've been to as a journalist.

Been trough Spain 5 times now with just "smile and wave guys" without any problems. Skipped Spa this year and might take a go on Austria in 2014 :)

Like I said in the old thread, going to Spa. Got me two weekend Bronze tickets for my cousin and I (100 € per ticket, cheap I guess for F1).

Still thinking about where to sleep though, how many (unofficial) campings are there in the area? Preferably cheap and not far by foot.

could be me, but it seems like F1 tickets have become slightly cheaper.

Was just checking availability for the A1 ring, but is it possible the tickets are not on sale yet? Inspiring location and I was thinking of coming there.
