1 shit track, 2 great tracks then off season blues.

As shit as F1 is atm, it's still better than no F1.

Well, after some really busy times I had the past few months, I can finally have time for this forum again :) So many things have happened such as the sad and very unexpected Sean Edwards' death, but on the good side, I'm confident I'll have a very good time digging what was written here when the Kimi/Ferrari deal was announced and Kvyat/STR signing too.

Antonio Felix da Costa was shown there chatting with Mark, btw....

I believe this thread needs this more than the random F1 discussion one:

Watch the body language for the "Alonso" answer. Also interesting to see how he views Vettel compared to the other drivers.

FOM's camera rotates very slowly compared to Indycar's

Grosjean deserves a victory this year, would be a great way to end this season and start the focus on 2014.

Vettel and some others always going very very wide in the penulimate corner. I wonder if the stewards will take a look if he does that 55laps, or delete their times in QLF.
But FIA made own graveyear with the stupid tarmac runn off areas, wich invites the drivers to get a penalty.
Specially what the did to RoGro in Hungary was shit, or other exsamples...

Anthony Davidson said he didn't think running wide there was gaining an advantage as its puts you offline for the final corner & there's a lot of dirt/dust in the astro-turf.

They either need to adopt Karun Chandhok's idea of a car width strip of grass behind every kurb or put a small hump at the back of every kurb, Not high enough to launch a car but enough to keep them the right side of it.

Im thinking something like they did at turn 4 at Melbourne for this year.

They also use a similar thing at the Nurburgring:

Why is it they can run 150mph+ close to walls with small'ish amounts of run off at Monaco, Albert Park and Singapore, yet at other circuits where speeds are not hugely different (like Abu Dhabi...) the mandate is that there needs to be acres of run off?

I'm perplexed by the logic used in designing race tracks.

Apparently, Sutil, after FP1, confirmed to some reporters that he is already signed for next year, but didn't say which team

No, Sutil said he's sure to be in F1 next year. Sorry for not making it clear on my previous post ;)
