I get more excited by this track every year. Could it be that it's been around long enough for nostalgia to start setting in?

(also no tarmac run off helps)

race start last year was also 16:00? If so things might get complicated in case of rain

A track where rain is never light enough for F1 to race. And even though it may be a short shower, it will be too dark to race thanks to "session delayed further 1000000 minutes" warnings despite rain has stopped ages ago.
Sepang has always been my Tilke-favourites; the jungle near the circuit is thousand times more interesting than usual hazy desert. And it's one of the circuits that still have gravel traps. And they are so huge I can't remember anyone but Herbert to actually reach the wall.

But they have tarmac run off areas. But I think I got your point, it's not as much as in other circuits. I didn't liked Sepang in the past due to the wide track, but it's been one of the good races of the season in the last years, so I know your feeling man.

About the GP weekend, if I remember correctly the tyres are the same from Melbourne, Mediums and Super Softs, with the insane track temperature from Sepang I wonder how they will deal with the tyre wear.

As for the rain, it's really complicated, I don't understand F1, why do they have a full wet tyre if they don't let the drivers to be on track when the conditions requires that kind of tyre? So if it rains it's sure that we will see again some series of delays, so even loving wet sessions I hope it will be dry or we will be pissed off once again with Charlie "Whining". Does anyone knows if Bernie will be at the circuit? He could be our only hope to "force" things going on in wet conditions.

I remember when Sepang looked really wide. Just looks normal now :p

Seeing as rainfall levels vary from 'monsoon' to 'even Noah's fucked' it'll probably be like 2009 or last year's gazebo-fest if the rain falls.

F1 official site is predicting "storm" for Sunday. Lotus better prepare lots of icecream for Kimi.

Sepang is one of the best tracks on the calendar. :)

If there is going to be rain, we all can have a good sleep on Sunday as there will be no race or a SC-race being red flagged after 40 laps. Not joking
