Sepang always produces good racing, the corners allow for different lines and the two long straights back to back mean the move can take a long time to complete. And there is gradient.

Don't know if it has been informed already, but Hülkenberg will have a brand new chassis for Sepang after the problem in Melbourne. It will be nice to see him in action during a race, Hulk is a great driver and I really missed him at the Australian GP, I believe he can do some great peformances all over the year.

This track always produced good racing, even in the years where it wasn't automatically the case.

I still personally have a bitter taste when they come here, because this place, first Tilke masterpiece, will always be a strong symbol for what the tracks have become: interesting, fast, challenging corners, but a bit tarnished by the massive amounts of space both on and off the track.

Looking forward to this race to see if it confirms the trends we saw in Australia. Will RBR improve their long stints? Will Mercedes rape the field? Can Grosjean challenge Kimi if given enough time to setup? Will McLaren get back there with the leaders? (nah just kidding with that last one )

I love Sepang! One of the few new tracks that I really like, most races have been very good, unpredictable, with lots of racing action.

I wish it hadn't started raining in 2009. Could have easily been the best race of the year.

Yeah because even though it rained, it turned out to be a horrible half-race didn't it? Oh wait, no it didn't...

If it wasn't for the 2009 rain, the words "icecream" and "Kimi" would have never appeared on the the same sentence. We also wouldn't have heard of the "Felipe Baby"

The typical equatorial weather consists exactly in heavy rain for a short period of time in the mid-end of afternoon.

It's very likely the rain won't last long, indeed. Thing is, in case it happens, how long will take for the track to stay in drivable conditions afterwards and wether it will happen still with enough natural light or not.

About the natural light, good thing is that the race will be starting by 16:00 local time, back in 2009 it was 17:00. Anyway it's still too late. F1 site is predicting "storm" both for friday practice and sunday race. We can never trust that with so many days to go, but still, Malaysia is a place where rain may always come.

Call me crazy, but this is one of my absolute favorite F1 tracks on the schedule

I know it sure didn't start out this way all those years ago..

All FPs should be fine because of the local time they will happen

Q and race that are on "dangerours" times that can be affected by the tropical storms

I'm gonna give a 90% chance that the race is delayed or postponed because of rain.

99% chance the track is wet or at least damp at some point for the race.

For me this is the best track of the all Tilke tracks

Definitely. When crap tracks keep getting built and added, Sepang suddenly finds itself quite high up the list of favourites.
