Dear members,

Like last year and the year before that and the year before that I present to you, the
2013 Formula Fun Cup

*Terms of acces*

F1 2013 is go in a less than a week from now, and together with that, I organise a competition.
The concept is easy and is open to all members from the Fastlane and TBK-light at any stage in the season.

*General guidelines*

For each Grand Prix meeting you are supposed to post your top 10 race results before the Grand Prix (in this topic)
Preferably this would be during the week preceding the race and no later than the start of the formation lap.
Note that edits made after the race gets unway will not be allowed. Editing initial picks should happen in a new, seperate post, not in the original post.

*Competition rules*

The competition will work via the current F1 points system.
Points will be awarded as this
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 18 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 12 points
5th place: 10 points
6th place: 8 points
7th place: 6 points
8th place: 4 points
9th place: 2 points
10th place: 1 point

It is essential to get the right driver in the right place. Only the driver in the correct place will give you the number of points that driver earned in the race.

An example will clarify the situation:

Imagine this is the (fictious) prediction you submitted before FP1 preceding a random Grand Prix meeting
Quote:

3. Kobayashi
4. Massa

6. Schumacher

8. Hamilton
9. Perez

Imagine this being the (fictious) result of the random Grand Prix meeting
Quote:

7. Vettel
8. Webber
9. Perez
10. Glock

What is your result for the Grand Prix of that weekend then?
=>In this case you got the position of Massa (4th= 12 points) and Perez (9th=2 points) right.
This means you earned yourself 14 points for this round (eventhough some of the drivers you predicted in your top 10 were also in the final top 10, but they finished in a different position).

New for this year is the 'joker system': Every participating member has two jokers he can use during the season.
What is the function of a joker? If you decide to make use of your joker for, say, the Malaysian GP, your score will be doubled. Basically, building further on the previous example, you would gain 28 points instead of 'just' 14.

Also new for 2013 is that only the 14 best results of 19 grand prix count. That means you will not be penalised for failing to enter your predictions once in a while.

*Competition winners reward*

At the end of the season the member with most points is declared the winner. The winning member will receive the FIA 2013 F1 review DVD.

*Teams*

However, there are potentially 3 F1 2013 reviews to be won due to the possibility of having teams in this competition. A team will consist of 2 members. The team with most points at the end of the season will also win the 2013 review (each member individually). You are free to participate alone or in team. Naturally your chances of winning this fantastic price will be higher when competing in a team. Pick your teammate wisely.

Team formation is possible at any time, however, once the team is established, it will stand for the rest of the season!
When you decide to compete in team, please adopt a team name. Post your teammate and teamname in this topic, preferably before the season starts.

*Special rules for the Fastlane / TBK-light association*

Members from the Fastlane and TBK-light are entitled to join this competition. Naturally speaking you cannot enter this competition twice so as to have an unfair advantage. Therefore, when participating, please kindly tell us your Fastlane name if you are a TBK member or your TBK name when you are a Fastlane member. Also tell us on which forum you will post your picks.

I think the rules are clear. The only thing I can hope for is much competitors and a close competition like last year!

I believe most of you know the rules. The things that change for this year

- predictions can be submitted until the formation lap on Sunday starts

- 2 instead of 3 jokers

- best 14 out of 19 results count

I'll compete in this competition! My activity on this forum was very low the last couple of months, I don't post much but I read a lot. Perhaps my participation will result in much more activity ;) . I'll post my pickings on Saturday or Sunday.
