Bianchi and Chilton are probably the ones giving us the best crashes, so they better work out a deal.

I would like to see how this would be solved during the race. Especially at the start or when one of the frontrunners hits a Marussia. Black rectangles or something.

But how will this be handled with the commentators? When someone mentions Marussia or any of the drivers / team, will the broadcasters play a *bleep* sound?

I'd guess it'd mean no coverage from practice, no coverage from qualifying and only minimal coverage in the race.

If Bernie wants to get a better deal, then the best way would be to show nothing but a Chilton crash! "Hey, look sponsors, here's your only coverage and it's of your logo on bits of debris strewn across the track"

Come to think of it, this is actually the perfect scenario for me. I can watch F1 now safe in the knowledge I don't have to see Max Chilton. Sweet.

Driver number one, Williams.

Be a bit like that I suppose, if anyone remembers that far back ;)

So Marussia could potentially sue FOM for more money than the would get from the Conchorde agreement for showing their image without consent. It is next to impossible to broadcast the race without the cars image appearing. I doubt it will come to that, but would be nice to see someone do a Bernie to Bernie.

Well that's promising. I believe Ferrari also said that they weren't going to fight at the front? So just RBR, Lotus and perhaps Mercedes then?

Mercedes and Red Bull chased by Lotus, with Ferrari a bit behind, then a reasonable gap to McLaren who, if they aren't careful, could get sucked into the Williams/Sauber/Force India battle.

You read it here first ;)

Ofcourse McLaren is not at front. Hamilton had an edge of 0,3s of Button. A world of difference when you lose your best driver.

And go to the first race with a completely new car which you don't yet properly understand ;)

Can he? I thought the FIA decides who races and who doesn't and Bernie keeps himself occupied with the commericial side.

Well, your friends seem to understand their new car pretty well...

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Hopefully! Thing with McLaren is that there's a lot of scope for improvement; they're running their all-new concepts with their new car so once they understand everything they'll come on leaps and bounds. Well... hopefully, anyway.

I'm not so much surprised that Merc have made a good car this year, as they have an embarrassment of riches in their technical department. The real acid test for them is keeping up the development race and not chase down a blind alley lie they did last year. We'll see :)

please, don't take this personally MaTT, but I won't be surprised at all if Mercedes turns out to be another huge disapointment next weekend and beyond.

I think Mercedes will surprise a lot of people this season.
