A little off-topic right now, considering that Australian GP is the current trend at the moment but this week Brazilian GP released the tickets prices table for this years Brazilian GP and for the surprise of majority of people, the prices increased like almost 15%. I've gone to Brazilian Gps a couple of times before but for the first time I'm absolutely shocked with prices. If you want to watch on the cheapest places, you have to disburse like R$ 600 and R$ 700 reais. (to make a comparison in dollars is something like $ 303 and $ 352 dollars. Perhaps it's not a big thing in countries with bigger economies/valued currency and I don't think that this is expensive in dollars. But these prices smells theft in Latin American standards). Considering that three years ago, people used to pay like R$ 120,00 reais ($ 61) then suddenly you have such increases, it's really strange. Specially because the more you justify that "hey, It's Formula One", let's all remember that F1 had already better years and better/romantic times before....Of course, once or twice in your life, specially If you're coming from another state or city, it's absolutely normal and predictable, it's expensive and it's worth paying. But those who like going every year that's really bad....really bad. It's ok for me, but for majority of population, that's almost a theft. Everyone, don't get surprised If this years Brazilian GP have most of grandstands empty! Meanwhile, IndyCar is always sold out, it's way more accessible. FIA WEC is also very accessible! I fail to understand such things. |
