Yeah once you combine stats some look pretty awesome.

Lewis hasn't made up a spot, but he's had the highest so has less chance of making up a spot.
Alonso has a high average starting spot, and hasn't lost any spots.
Vettel has the second highest starting spot, but still hasn't lost a spot all year. That makes him the most impressive starter on the grid.
Rosberg is surprisingly bad.
Given Williams poor performance, Bottas losing 15 spots in total is a lot. When you're only beating the Caterham and Marussias, losing spots to them is quite bad.
di Resta is surprisingly good at starts. He's been qualifying fairly high all year (the average is skewed due to the FI screw ups), but still makes up spots.
Sutil is surprisingly bad. He's got a better qualifying than di Resta (about the same once you factor in FI lawls), but has lost the most spots on anyone on the entire grid.
Webber isn't a surprise at all.

Rosberg has taken three poles and some other good qualifying performances - I reckon a lot of that deficit is the first lap in Hungary. I think he went from fourth to 12th after making contact with Massa.

That's not entirely fair, 14 of those 21 spots lost were as a direct result of getting Felipe'd at Bahrain.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I forgot about that. So take out 14 and he's lost 7. That takes him to -2 overall, which is ok.

Rosberg takes off 8, so becomes -3 as well, which isn't terrible.

Still leaves them both in the negatives however. It puts Rosberg above Lewis (but Lewis starting position puts him in a much harder position). It leaves Sutil considerably behind di Resta though.

The difference between Sutil's dropped places and Rosberg's are that in Bahrain it wasn't Sutil's fault, whereas in Hungary Rosberg cost himself those places by chopping Massa.

F1 should ditch Interlagos and race where WEC did their promos. That would be real racin' a la Spa in 60s and if you make a mistake, good bye :p

Maybe he means if you make a mistake, you end up flying through the first floor of a grand plaza? Or a Starbucks?

This is motorsport we're talking about, not a scene from a Die Hard movie.

Jeez, come on Phil. It happens all the time. Have you never watched Driven? That's real life right there.

When the cars crashed, they were like giant pinatas, exploding into a million peices of confetti. Real as fook!

[legaldisclaimer]F1 was never represented in Driven of Iron Man 2. Any likeness to F1 is purely coincidental.[/legaldisclaimer]

I meant no run offs, so no room for mistakes.

, good point about Monaco and Singapore, so let's just race there in this street. I would specially love to see Indycar racing there instead of where they do now. Yellow flag all the way through it :p

Le Mans 1999: one of those rare occasions where Reality > Fiction.

Also, that unfortunate Formula Dream accident at Suzuka in 2002, and Joey Hand at Mid Ohio...

Sometimes physics just give up and the whole accident seems just out of an OTT movie.
