I'm sad about Mexico. Good track (old school track too) and in the sort of 6pm (for Europeans) timezone....

Oh well, Bernie got his money out of them, I guess that's all that matters....

I'm glad they're not going to Mexico. The track won't be completely slaughtered now.

Thanks to Canal+ we know Gutierrez met Lotus F1 Team last Friday. They also confirmed from internal sources that Kimi reached an agreement this morning with the team to run the last 2 races.

honestly, I have no idea buddy. I was sure it was going to be Massa and Nasser. But now looks likely its neither.

it will probably all be sorted last minute, with driver announcements shortly before the first test starts.

Massa-Nasr, Gutierrez-Maldonado? Crazy shit.

It'll be Grosjean-Hulkenberg

It's Joe Saward, the only man who is worse at predictions than you Phil.

He isn't predicting anything, though, just reporting a fact.

It would be nice if it transpires that Kimi's foot up the arse of Lopez yesterday convinced Lotus that they needed to get the Quantum deal done immediately.

It does also pretty much nail on Hulkenberg as money will no longer be a problem.

Pastor to Force India?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Vettel was given the all clear by the fia for his donuts this time. Great. Except that the reqson given was that last time he got fined for not bringing the car back to parc ferme. Nothing to do with donuts.

So why do they let drivers park it after the race to have enough fuel for the sample? More inconsistencies if you ask me.

Maybe they're trying to make Indycar and NASCAR look like competent decision makers.

Would be fantastic.

Where will Maldonado end up? He said he wanted a drive with a better team and ofcourse FI and Sauber are higher placed than Williams but I can't imagine he wants that.

Someone a few days back mentioned Force India could be a target for Maldonado.

I would rather see Di Resta staying there, even though his races before Abu Dhabi were very poor. Or, as a Dutchmen, see VdG enter there but him taking Maldonado's place would be fine as well.

Either way, if Hulk goes to Lotus then this silly season will end up nicely. :)

Btw, two donuts:

I guess it would leave Maldonado at Force India or Sauber. Sutil says he has a 2014 deal but isn't saying where.

As far as I can work out, Maldonado's relationship with Williams is dead & Massa is going there. In all honesty, I know Massa gets a lot of flak but that would be an astute signing for both parties.
