I watched Jurassic Park last night, a film that must be around 20 years old and I can still remember watching that as a kid.

No particular memories of Hunt since he was dead before I knew he was alive, so to speak.

Murray Walker's been diagnosed with a treatable form of cancer.

Hope he gets well soon!

Horrible news, one of the best people to ever be involved in F1.

The British GP (and even Goodwood) won't be the same without him.

Get well soon Murray. The word legend is overused these days but you certainly are one! Get back to your legendary status as soon as possible please.

He is almost 90 and has cancer now? I'm going to get a shitload of criticism over me for this but I don't wish him a full recovery, I wish him a peacefull death before the real pain and misery start, only to prolong his life for a year or so.

The same goes for Nelson Mandela btw, I wish him a death with dignety.

That!!!

It was horrible to see my 93 year old grandpa suffer in his last few days. Those are the moments you just know there is no god. The man loved all his children and grandchildren. Did good where he could. Sang in the church choir for maybe over 60 years, volunteered at the church up until the last few months of his live (giving tours etc). He already suffered by losing a son, a son in law(my father) and a granddaughter.

If there was a god why wouldn't he just let him die peacefully in his sleep? :x

Mercedes will be punished. But it is also an commercial sport. So I don't believe they will be banned, because next races are Great Britain and Germany which are important races for them. But they need to be punished, else other teams will test during the season.

I know what you mean but Murray is fit and healthy and they have detected the cancer very early (he was in hospital after falling and breaking his hip so really it's super early) and his prognosis is good...

He could have another ten years in him yet. The old goat still goes to the gym 3 times a week to keep in top condition! :o

breaking a hip at that age can trigger a decay of their health. You hear that a lot.

F1 2013 – Red Bull using banned traction control?

A report from the Italian Autosprint magazine claims that the Red Bull of Mark Webber showed signs at the Canadian Grand Prix that are consistent with the use of traction control – which is banned in Formula 1.

After looking at a picture of Mark Webber accelerating out of a corner after a collision with the Caterham of Giedo Van Der Garde Autosprint report that the markings left by the accelerating red bull of Mark Webber could be consistent with traction control.

“You immediately notice the traces on the track, those are not continuous (usually darker at the beginning and then gradually faded) of a ‘screech.’”

“It is the typical behaviour of a road car that goes ‘jerky’ with the traction control switched on,” reports Autosprint.
