since 1992 we didn't had such an early start of the season and boy this will be a very long one

now for things that might definately happen
.Max will crush more dreams this season
.Ferrari gonna Ferrari
.the season will not have one of the 24 races
.Michael Andretti will have more backing than ever to join the grid and still have the door shut

Aston Martin will drop back to 2022 levels of performance, Alonso leaves the team.
Perez will not even make it to the end of the season.
Piastri will win a race for McLaren, Norris won´t.
Mercedes wins 5 races, still end up 3rd in the standings.

While I'm looking forward to April at Suzuka and the return of Imola, I have a bad feeling about the overall season. So many rounds felt like a chore last year. If Max will continue his domination, I might start skipping F1 and concentrate on F2/F3 seasons.

Wait, I still haven't made my new year's wish! Let it be: I wish for a similar season to 2012. Now, we only need Maldonado back to the grid. :p

Red Bull easily 1st and dominate most races Perez is actually performing at 1-2

Mercedes improve to a no man's land 2nd so the first 4 positions are usually the same every weekend

Mclaren and Ferrari fight hard for 3rd in the title race but one of them will score a lucky win and end that fight by three quarters

Aston Martin and Alpine return to their squabble for 5th

Max starts "I wanna retire and run e-sports" rumours by half season, then again committs to F1 long term

This will be David Coulthard's season at last

(Also I must've missed the news item that moves Japan to early in the season, that's definitely gonna feel weird, as much as it make sense logisiticay....)

Mercedes might have a chance this year, that 2023 car was a frankenstein and still Hamilton got second place.

Well, we can at least hope....

They put all their eggs in the zero sidepod concept, then realise midway through last season that wasn't going to work (and most designers worth their salt saw that coming when they unfurled the car in 2022)

Now they're going to the red bull concept, 2 years after Red Bull have already refined it, with the same design team that thought the zero sidepod was a good idea

I say they'll get 2nd due to their history from 2014-2020 but they're not going to out design Red Bull's concept from a starting point 2 years behind red bull

1 or 2 wins on the races where Max has to start at the back due to an engine change and Sergio isn't at his best is my prediction

They realized after Bahrein this season. The Interlagos win gave them false hope. This car had all sort of problems with weight distribution and what not. Info from a Mercedes employee.

This is a wonderful talk with one employee from Mercedes and another from Red Bull while drunk and enjoying a nice barbecue at the home of the journalist. If anyone is willing to translate....

I'm honestly not really excited for this season. I'm looking at the 24 race calendar and feel it will be a chore to watch. I'd almost hope for some global event that will scratch at least 6 of them.

I find weird that they set a big gap between Singapore and Austin, which could fit a race at Portimão or Mugello

And 3 Saturday races this year, at least we get those Sundays free to do something else. I hope they do more Saturday races in the next few years.

Controversial opinion (convenient opinion too being in Australia) but I wish every race was a Saturday race.

didn't even knew there were races on saturday apart from Vegas, at first I thought it was because of islamic countries but is actually to put night races as late as they want to show to american audiences without compromising european ones so much

As someone who works at a race track every 2nd Sunday through the season, I agree

It's why I'm able to follow nearly every single Formula E event live and about 1 in every 3 Formula 1 race live due to the way calenders fall

FOM should definitely have been consulting my schedule before setting their season dates :p

Suzuka in April is most likely going to be wet.

I'm er........I'm VAR for on track incidents. :whistling:

A popular role, *cough* but at least I don't actually have to make the decisions, just cue up the crash/incident and the stewards decide who is at fault

So yeah, all the time growing up watching videos on here of crashes and contraversial moments paid off! :p
