yeah, it was actually by Indycar rules, perhaps it was quite dangerous to do the old banked turn after the straight |

Fuji was originally supposed to be a dedicated oval circuit for NASCAR and Indy Car but funding was an issue. Here's a cool sim racing video that explains it nicely. |

Went on to search pictures of Frank Williams before he ended up in wheelchair. I believe this is from the days when Ayrton Senna tested for Williams during his winning F3 campaign. |
