Came so close to sticking the crapbox Arrows on pole, six tenths faster than the next Bridgestone runner, and his heroics will always be a footnote to the craziness just ahead I think some of his best drives were given to that car. I wonder what he could have done had Jordan produced a car at the 1999 level one year earlier. |

Here's some more classic Hill - the car he referred to more recently as 'the purple nasty': I found out recently that "Seikima-II" is a Japanese heavy metal group. The End of the Century was an album that came out in 1986, so god knows what it is doing on an F1 car in 1992... |

I also found this site while looking for a good Brabham photo: https://www.cr-images.de/events_gallery.php?event=1992_03&page=1 There's a goldmine of photos from the 1992 Hungarian GP there. Definitely worthy of a proper link rather than just hotlinking a photo, but rules are rules. |

Boutsen had been one of the drivers saying that the conditions were too bad to race in. This was also the race where Nakajima spun off at the first corner, but recovered to 4th place and set the fastest lap. Not sure why he was so poor everywhere else! |

Come to think of it: what difference 10 years made back then. There´s a world of difference between the cars of 1962 and 1972. Still a big difference between 1972 and 1982. In my opinion hardly any difference between 2002 and 2022. |
