Larousse never built a car for the 1995 season and was only working on a updated 1994 chassis to comply with the 1995 regulations, but they didn't have the money to complete a car and thus pulled out. Then there is the fact that the 1995 entry was to be fitted with a Ford not a Peugeot. So I wonder what this car really is. |

On Wikipedia it mentions Larrousse failing to get Peugeot for 1994. Maybe they got very close. |

Presumably stickered up to try and bring in Peugeot contracts. |

Possibly, although the previous comment you made then edited (about being an updated 1994 chassis) is likely also. Did Larrousse ever test a Pug engine, similar to McLaren testing with the Lamborghini engine in late 1993? EDIT - doing another quick google image search on Larousse I found this... It is Phillippe Alliot at Spa in 1993. The picture is an almost identical shot to the original picture posted above. The same angle, same position on race track, "Goodyear" graphics on both tyres are in identical positions, look also at the gravel trap and the edging. But the differences are that the back end of the car is narrower, the helmet (which looks fuzzy compared to the rest of the car) and the livery. So I wonder if the original picture that was posted is actually a photoshop? To me it looks as though someone as chopped out the mid section of photo (behind the airbox). |
