Senna at Aida

If he hadn't been punted off at turn 1 lap 1 (really bad luck that year) I still think Schumacher would have won that race, as that circuit suits more the Benetton and its V8 engine.

Interesting thought, but if Senna hadn't died at Imola and kept racing, who knows, maybe Schumacher's brazen moves might have gotten Senna killed in their inevitable clashes.

Schumacher wasn't as dangerous in high-speed areas back then. Just clumsy and at times ill-intentioned in close quarters at slower corners.

The weaving and blocking that could kill people, came later. I would say the real risky stuff all started in 2000, where he was systematically going sideways and shutting doors on people at the start in front of the pack. Then of course doing his blocks on Mika, Alonso, Rubens, etc... throughout the years.

He also did it at the start of the Japanese GP 94, as I have seen when they showed it a couple of weeks ago.

Martin Brundle, Monaco, 1989 on his amazing run documented here:
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/mona ... e/4789441/

Qualified in 4th, almost had the last podium for Brabham, that should've been his, but went to his teammate instead.

That car looks very IRL Dallara from that angle.

I always wondered how top teams like Lotus, Tyrrell or Brabham could fade into backmarkers and eventually bankrupcy.

Then history gave us McLaren and Williams.

I love this livery, look at the huge amount of brazilians sponsors, funny that most of those brands now belong to foreign companies

At this stage, Brabham had to pre-qualify. Brundle just squeezed through as the final qualifier, narrowly beating Ghinzani's Osella.
Less than a tenth away from failing to Pre-qualify, and then 4th on the grid the next day.

I never realized how beautiful this car was. Shame the Porsche V12 sucked but it sure sounded nice.

Footwork had some of the prettiest cars.

I loved the FA12 they released later that year. Caffi had a massive crash in that one at Monaco. Making you wonder why it took all up to Imola 1994 to have another fatality in F1.

that V12 engine was 2 welded V6 engines. Too bad it was heavy and with poor mileage

It was also meant to be runnin on the Onyx team because van Rossem said so
