Didn't Lotus use that model of car for nearly 3 years? (90-92).

Yeah. In those days it was actually possible. Williams did the same a few times around that era. Not 3 years but 2

This picture is magical, those cars' front end used to not be as stiff as nowadays, so the front wheel would sometimes lift off at entry. He's fondling the side of that curb with the wheel with absolute precision. Maybe the rear will just slam it but in the mean time it makes for such a cool shot.

Yeah, early 90s cars were beautiful and really maxed out that flat floor regulations. I'm quite sure the rear right corner of the floor is scraping the track in this picture, wasn't paying much attention to that until you spotted it out. Sidewall of that rear tire really tells the story that this is a fast lap on the limit.

edit: and what I really like about that car is that shifter bubble on the side of the cockpit.

Holy hell, that Camel livery suits that car 1000% better! Herbert's helmet on top of that makes it 11/10. The '91 car looks like a platypus.

Yeah, the 1990 is easily the most beautiful livery on this one.

1992 wasn't too boring either.

I remember getting some Hot Wheels F1 cars when I was a kid, and the 92 Lotus was one of them. Really nice car, as is 1990 (and 93)!

Are you sure? Because that looks more like Indianapolis than Brands and the car is red while McGuire's car was black.
