For a second there, I thought Sonic was flipping the bird.

McLaren had stickers of squashed hedgehogs marking their wins in 1993.

Now looking at other pics, here is Prost at Barcelona with two win markings (Kyalami, Imola) on the rear wing.

Lewis Hamilton is set to reach 300 Grands Prix at Paul Ricard. Here are the others who have reached the milestone. The counting of GPs may differ, but these are done by StatsF1.

Rubens Barrichello, 2010 Singapore Grand Prix

Michael Schumacher, 2012 Italian Grand Prix

Jenson Button, 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso, 2018 Austrian Grand Prix

I think Schumacher counted Spa 2012 as his 300th GP. I was there and he had a special livery.

Monza was the 300th GP start as Spa was the 300th GP entered, oddly enough his DNS was France 1996, I thought it was Britain 99

Not counting races where driver wasn't in the restart would mean that Ronnie Peterson and Riccardo Paletti died in the races they didn't take start.

Hasn't happened in F1 though but in other categories we've seen though races which have been annulled entirely after fatal crashes. Simoncelli (MotoGP), Wheldon (Indycar) and Hubert (F2) come to my mind.

50 years since the last French GP at Charade. Without question one of the most challenging circuits ever raced.

José Carlos Pace, Silverstone 1975. Also the final victory of Emerson Fittipaldi and the race ending rain clusterfuck. A classic

Jumpers, puffy jackets, t-shirts, and an umbrella in the background - it's the full spectrum of British weather!

20 years since Schumacher achieved the 5th title

at the time it was quite a remarkable feat

What should've been Kimi's first win. I was really pissed about that.

Get your damn act together, Toyota!

Schumacher gives Fisichella a ride to the pits, 25 years ago. Also the final win for Benetton and Berger

Cruel race for Fisichella. Not sure he would have beaten Berger, but he was right up there.

Was always my favourite driver in that era. Not sure why he never shined at Renault, because he showed so much potential in smaller teams. A bit like Webber. I guess they both ended up against great team mates that had the team built around them.

Yeah, I rated Fisico very highly since he arrived in F1, but his driving style was so much different than 2005-06 Alonso, that there wasn't really any chance for him against a built-for-Nando Renault.
